Bush family ties to terror suspects re-opened by 9/11 '28 pages'

By Ralph Lopez, 02.21.2015

As pressure builds to make public 28 pages of a joint congressional inquiry on 9/11 which was classified by President George W. Bush, the Bush family's well-documented relationships to Saudi and other foreign terror suspects are again coming to the fore.

North Carolina Republican Congressman Walter Jones told the New Yorker last September, of the what is now commonly known as the “28 Pages”:
“There’s nothing in it about national security...It’s about the Bush Administration and its relationship with the Saudis.”
Prominent in the rise of the political fortunes of both the 41st and 43rd presidents is the support of figures listed by the US government as terrorist financiers, as well as some connected to the now closed, Saudi-controlled criminal enterprise known as BCCI.

Of special interest to independent researchers is the failure of the nation's air defenses on 9/11, and the reliance of these defenses on the company formerly known as Ptech, which was founded with funding partly from Saudi financiers with ties to designated terrorist organizations, which employed a mix of foreign nationals and Americans with ties to Israeli software companies with possible links to Israeli Mossad. Now renamed Go Agile, Ptech is a purveyor of software which is critical to the security of major software systems embedded throughout the FAA and the US Department of Defense.

A small number of congressmen have been allowed to read the classified pages, and are pushing to have them declassified. During a press conference in March of 2014, Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie, Republican, said:

“As I read it, and we all had our own experience, I had to stop every couple of pages and just sort of try to absorb and try to rearrange my understanding of history. “It challenges you to re-think everything. I think the whole country needs to go through that.”

The effort to declassify the pages is being spearheaded by 9/11 families. A website has been started named 28pages.org.

Two major investors in the 43rd president's early business ventures, Arbusto Energy and Harken Energy, were Salem bin Laden, Osama's older brother, and Khalid bin Mahfouz, a 20% stakeholder in BCCI, who was himself accused and investigated for financing terrorism.

Mahfouz, who died in 2009, was known as the personal banker of the Saudi royal family.

In 1992 then-Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts and Senator Hank Brown, Republican of Colorado, in a widely-lauded Senate Foreign Policy Committee investigation of BCCI, found that BCCI's “criminality” included:
“support of terrorism, arms trafficking, and the sale of nuclear technologies; its management of prostitution; its commission and facilitation of income tax evasion, smuggling, and illegal immigration; its illicit purchases of banks and real estate; and a panoply of financial crimes limited only by the imagination of its officers and customers.”
The Committee found that BCCI had been instrumental in financing the A.Q. Khan nuclear program in Pakistan. BCCI was also found to have played a key role in the terrorist operations of the notorious Abu Nidal.

The Saudi-controlled BCCI played a central role in acting as a conduit for renegade CIA operations run by Lt. Col. Oliver North and General Richard Secord, with the elder Bush overseeing the operations from his position as vice president to Ronald Reagan and as a former director of the CIA. Known as the Iran-Contra Scandal in the Eighties, the renegade operation illegally sold thousands of Stinger missiles to the new Revolutionary Government of Iran, in exchange for Iran hurting President Jimmy Carter's prospects for re-election by holding onto American hostages in the 1979 Iran Hostage Crisis.

The Kerry-Brown Committee also reported on international groups, in particular Israeli, assisting in gunrunning and other illegal operations in league with BCCI. The report stated:
"In April 1989, a network of Israeli arms traffickers, operating out of Miami, made a shipment of 500 Israeli manufactured machine guns through the Caribbean island of Antigua for the use of members of the Medellin cartel. Later, one of these weapons was used in the assassination of Colombian presidential candidate Luis Carlos Galan, and several other of the weapons were found in the possession of cartel kingpin Jose Gonzalo Rodriguez Gacha after his death in a gunfight with Colombian drug agents."

At the center of the Israeli gun-running operation which provided weapons to the Medellin cartel was Israeli national and BCCI banker Bruce Rappaport.

Who Is the Ruler of Israel? by Uri Avnery

Posted By Uri Avnery On February 15, 2015

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, of course.

Wrong

The real ruler of Israel is one Sheldon Adelson, 81, American Jew, Casino king, who was rated as the world’s tenth richest person, worth 37.2 billion dollars at the latest count. But who is counting?

Besides his casinos in Las Vegas, Pennsylvania, Macao and Singapore, he owns the U.S. Republican party and, lately, both Houses of the U.S. Congress.

He also owns Binyamin Netanyahu.

Adelson’s connection with Israel is personal. On a blind date, he fell in love with an Israeli woman.

Miriam Farbstein was born in Haifa, attended a prestigious high school, did her army service in the Israeli institute which deals with bacteriological warfare and is a multifaceted scientist. After an adopted son died of an overdose, she is devoted to the fight against drugs, especially cannabis.

Both Adelsons are fanatical supporters of Israel. Not just any Israel, but a rightist, supremacist, arrogant, violent, expansionist, annexationist, non-compromising, colonialist Israel.
Sheldon, Bibi & Miriam
In "Bibi" Netanyahu they found their man. Through Netanyahu they hope to rule Israel as their private fief.

To assure this, they did an extraordinary thing: they founded an Israeli newspaper, solely devoted to the furthering of the interests of Binyamin Netanyahu. Not of the Likud, not of a specific policy, but of Netanyahu personally.

Years ago I invented a Hebrew word for papers which are
distributed for nothing. "Hinamon" translates, roughly, into "ragratis" or "gratissue" and was intended to denigrate.

But I did not dream of a monster like "Israel Hayom" ("Israel Today") – a paper with unlimited funds, distributed every day for nothing in the streets and malls all over the country by hundreds, perhaps thousands of paid young persons.

Israelis love getting something for nothing. Israel Hayom is now the daily paper with the widest distribution in Israel. It drains readers and advertising revenue from its only competitor – Yedioth Ahronoth ("Latest News"), which held this title until then.

Yedioth reacted furiously. It became a ferocious enemy of Netanyahu. Yossi Werter, a commentator of the center-left Haaretz (which has a far lower circulation) even believes that the present election boils down to a contest between the two papers.

That is vastly exaggerated. Judged by political and social content, there is little to differentiate the two. Both are super-patriotic, warmongering and rightist. That is the journalistic recipe for attracting the masses anywhere in the world.

Yedioth is owned by the Moses family, a business-minded clan. The present, third-generation publisher is Arnon ("Noni") Moses, the publicity-shy boss of a large economic empire based on the paper. The paper serves his business interests, but he has no special political interests.

Adelson is unique.

In Israel, betting is forbidden by law. We have no casinos, and secret gambling dens are raided by the police. In our early youth we were taught that casino moguls are bad people, almost like arms merchants. They take the money off poor addicted people, throwing them into despair, even suicide. See Dostoyevsky.

Israelis read Israel Hayom (it’s something for nothing, after all), but they don’t necessarily like the man and his methods. So some members of the Knesset were encouraged to enter a bill forbidding gratis newspapers altogether.

Netanyahu and the Likud party did everything to obstruct this bill. But in the preliminary vote (necessary for private members’ bills) they were beaten in an amazing way. Even members of Netanyahu’s governing coalition voted for it. The cameras caught Netanyahu literally running in the Knesset plenum hall to gain his seat before the voting started.

The vote was 43 to 23. Almost half the Likud members absented themselves. Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and his party voted for the bill. So did ministers Ya’ir Lapid and Tzipi Livni.

From the preliminary vote to the final adoption, such a bill has to pass several stages. There was plenty of time to bury it in one of the committees. But Netanyahu was furious. A few days after the vote, he dismissed Lapid and Livni from the cabinet, causing the government coalition to break up and the Knesset to disperse.

Why did Netanyahu do such a foolish thing less then half way through his (third) term of office? There can be only one logical explanation: he was ordered to do so by Adelson, in order to prevent the adoption of the law.

If so, Adelson is now our chief lawmaker. Perhaps he is also our chief government-maker.

Money plays an ever-increasing role in politics. Election propaganda is made on television, which is very expensive. Both in Israel and the U.S., legal and illegal funds pour into the campaign, directly and indirectly. Corruption is abetted or tolerated by the courts. The very rich (known euphemistically in America as the "wealthy") exercise undue influence.

In the last U.S. presidential elections, Adelson poured rivers of dollars into the contest. He supported Newt Gingrich, and then Mitt Romney, with huge sums of money. In vain. Perhaps Americans don’t like to be ruled by captains of casinos.

For the next U.S. presidential elections, Adelson has started early. He has summoned to his Las Vegas casino HQ all leading Republican candidates, to grill them on their allegiance to him – and to Netanyahu. Nobody dared to refuse the summons. Would a Roman senator refuse the summons of Caesar?

In Israel, such rituals are superfluous. The Adelsons – both Miri and Sheldon – know who their man is.

The Israel Hayom newspaper is, of course, a big propaganda machine, totally devoted to the re-election of Netanyahu. All quite legal. In a democracy, who can tell a newspaper whom to support? We are still a democracy, for God’s sake!

It seems to be strange for a country to allow a foreigner, who never lived in the country, to have such enormous power over its future, indeed, over its very existence.

That’s where Zionism comes in. According to the Zionist creed, Israel is the state of the Jews, all the Jews. Every Jew in the world belongs to Israel, even if temporarily residing somewhere else. A few days ago, Netanyahu publicly claimed to represent not just the State of Israel but also the entire "Jewish People". No need to ask them.

Accordingly, Adelson is not really a foreigner. He is one of us. True, he cannot vote in Israel, though his wife probably can. But many people, including himself, believe that he, being a Jew, has a perfect right to interfere in our affairs and dominate our lives.

For example, the appointment of our ambassador in the U.S. Ron Dermer is an American, born in Miami, who was active in Republican politics. To appoint an American functionary of the Republican Party as ambassador of Israel to a Democratic administration may seem strange. Not so strange if Netanyahu acted under the orders of Sheldon Adelson.

It was Adelson who prepared the witches’ brew that is now endangering Israel’s lifeline to Washington. His stooge, Dermer, induced the Republicans in Congress – all of them dependent on Adelson’s largesse or hoping to be so – to invite Netanyahu to give an anti-Obama speech before both Houses.

While this intrigue was in preparation, Dermer met with John Kerry but did not tell him of Netanyahu’s coming. Neither did Netanyahu inform President Obama, who, in a fury, announced that he would not meet with the Prime Minister.

From the point of view of Israel’s vital interests, it is sheer madness to provoke the President of the United States of America, who controls American’s flow of arms to Israel and the American veto power in the UN. But from the point of view of Adelson, who wants to elect a Republican president in 2016, it makes sense. He has already threatened to invest unlimited sums of money to prevent the reelection of any Senator or Representative who is absent from Netanyahu’s speech.

We are nearing open warfare between the Government of Israel and the President of the United States.

Is someone playing roulette with our future?

Marine Corps Commandant Censors 1st Amendment Rights for Active Marines

Beneath that stoic face figuratively adorned with the globe and anchor we see a capital "T". To obey un-Constitutional commands from a civilian "leader" is to dishonor one's oath to the people of America.

Amos made the choice which was best for his personal career. He's no Chesty Puller. Amos chose politics over his Marines. Who's he afraid of?
"Don't you forget that you're First Marines!
Not all the communists in Hell can overrun you!"

Oh, and before you think Amos to be the disloyal exception within the military, he has plenty of company, read this: TRAITORS WITHIN THE GATES: CFR'S MILITARY MEMBERSHIP ROSTER

Independent newspaper does not conform to new Marine Corps message, brass says

Marine Corps Times first casualty in headquarters' war to 'professionalize'

Feb. 9, 2014 - 05:05PM
Marines leaf through a copy of Marine Corps Times during some downtime at a patrol base in Afghanistan's Helmand province. The newspaper, which throughout the last year has investigated allegations of wrongdoing involving the service's top general, has been targeted by Marine Corps headquarters as part of a new initiative to 'professionalize' areas where the publication is sold. Marine Corps leaders have ordered the independent Marine Corps Times newspaper removed from its prominent newsstand location at base exchange stores worldwide and placed instead in areas away from checkout lines, where it is harder to find and fewer copies are available.

The move raises troubling questions about motive and closely follows a directive prohibiting commanders from using budget funds to buy Marine Corps Times and a number of other publications.

Marine Corps Times is widely recognized for its comprehensive coverage of the Corps, focusing on everything from career tracks, to pay and benefits, family and spouse issues, and employment after leaving the military.

Throughout much of the past year, the paper has published dozens of articles as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations the service’s commandant, Gen. Jim Amos, abused his authority to ensure Marines were punished for an embarrassing war-zone scandal.

Numerous reports have captured the attention of mainstream media outlets, including NPR, CNN and Time magazine, among several others.

Spokesmen for the commandant’s office would not answer questions about whether Amos or his staff were aware of or involved in the decision to relocate the newspaper, but a source with knowledge of the new directive said it was approved with the commandant’s knowledge.

“It is no secret [in the Pentagon] that the commandant does not like Marine Corps Times,” the source said, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

The commandant’s office punted all questions, including whether Amos was involved in the decision to move Marine Corps Times from prominent display in the exchanges,to Manpower & Reserve Affairs, which has oversight of the exchange. A spokeswoman for Manpower & Reserve Affairs said the paper was moved as part of a plan to “professionalize” the front of the exchanges.

Fiscal guidance for 2014, issued Oct. 22, specifically prohibits commands from using operations and maintenance funds for purchasing subscriptions to Marine Corps Times, which is part of the Military Times network and owned by Gannett, one of the world’s largest media corporations.

The order to move the paper from checkout areas came six weeks later. Distributors were given a variety of reasons. One was told it was due to business performance, though the paper is one of, if not the top-selling publications in Marine Corps exchanges.

Officials at Marine Corps Community Services and the Semper Fit and Exchange Services Division did not respond to multiple requests for sales data. However, information provided by Army and Air Force Exchange Services shows that Army Times and Air Force Times — Marine Corps Times’ sister publications — outsell the next publication 10-to-1.

“For any retailer to hide one of its best-selling products is just bad business. It obviously will hurt our newsstand sales, but it also hurts revenues to the Exchange,” said Peter Lundquist, Military Times’ vice president and general manager. “But I’m told this isn’t about business. Marine Corps Times helps Marines and their families stay informed about their service and their livelihood. We believe our independence is an asset to Marines. By what standard is Marine Corps Times not professionally oriented reading material, and who is setting that standard for Marines?”

Cindy Whitman Lacy, chief operating officer and deputy director of business operations for the Marine Corps’ Semper Fit and Exchange Services Division, offered another explanation to the head of circulation for Military Times. Marine Corps Times, she said, is not consistent with the Marine Corps “brand.”

While a provided statement said Lt. Gen. Robert Milstead, deputy commandant for Manpower & Reserve Affairs, “directed” the change, it does not say who made the decision.

Milstead “directed the Semper Fit and Exchange Services Division to determine how to professionalize the front areas of our stores,” Maj. Shawn Haney, spokeswoman for Manpower & Reserve Affairs, said in the statement. “As a result, the store entry merchandising strategy was reviewed and new directives were issued on how and where publications are to be displayed.”

Marine officials did not respond when asked if this meant Marine Corps Times is viewed as unprofessional.

The only step taken to “professionalize” the front area is to force all paid newspapers to the back of the store. Officials did not say how many, if any other newspapers were affected by the change. Most local and national newspapers are sold out of coin-operated vending machines. Other publications such as magazines will not be moved, officials said, due to contractual agreements already in place.

The wire racks and bins “are only authorized to display Marine Corps Exchange promotional materials,” according to the new policy. Exchange managers were told to move the newspapers to make room for the commandant’s reading list and that of the “First Lady of the Marine Corps,” Amos’ wife Bonnie.

Those racks remained empty as of Feb. 6, nearly two months after the order to remove the newspapers was issued.

The McCain and Kerry Betrayals & Treachery to America, its Veterans and their Families *vid*

It's inconceivable how these two monsters could have ever been elected - - not once or twice, but over, and over...is there no justice to be had for the American people?

War Heroes?

John McCain ran in 2008 as a war hero and now he poses as an expert on military affairs.

There are just a few problems with that.

McCain is despised by fellow Vets, especially fellow POWs, not only for cooperating with the enemy, but also for blocking every effort to make sure all American POWs were returned after the war.

Interestingly enough, the other veteran who obstructed truth on the matter was JOHN KERRY, the fake candidate and Skull and Bones member who ran against Bush in 2004 and stepped aside in spite of massive and obvious electoral fraud in Ohio.

Kerry's family got a massive pay off from the Communist Vietnam government for his "service" on their behalf helping kill off POW investigations.

John Kerry's Rise to Secretary of State: Lies, Bullying, Betrayal

Kerry would not be a choice for role model of morality, integrity or loyalty for our youngsters.Kerry will adorn our dishonored country's Wall of Shame.

17 Dec 2012

It looks as if pathological liar and long-time hater of America John Kerry will be nominated for Secretary of State (SOS).

Where do you start when condemning such a choice? Let’s start in 1971, when Kerry, ironically speaking to the same Foreign Relations Committee which he now heads, said of America’s efforts in the Vietnam War:

American Prisoners of War Repeatedly, Shamefully Betrayed By Their Government - Shocking Documentary

Beyond doubt the most horrific documentary of betrayal by Government that we have ever seen. And we thought we'd seen them all, and even have tapes of the Senator Kerry committee.  This IS a MUST WATCH selection.

Declared "Secret" in the 'national interest'? Who the #*&^@ do these political & corporate criminals think they are fooling? The records are Secret only to protect themselves from public disgrace before the American people, and probably worse.

Will South Carolina Retire "Liberal Lindsey" Graham?

Interest in Israel: The Money in Politics On Gaza

US Political Treason for Personal Profit shows a Clear Criminal Bipartisanship.

As the fighting in Gaza escalated over the past few weeks, Congress said and did little, except for a bi-partisan bill just before recess to replenish aid to Israel's missile defense program

At a time when nearly everything is grounds for noisy partisan rancor, the reason behind this unusual silence and cooperation is perhaps because Congress is generally in agreement over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. And, while public opinion tends to lie in favor of Israel, it is proportionally more divided than Congress.

What could lead this divisive Congress to concur on such a publicly contentious issue?

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), an organization primarily interested in promoting a strong U.S.-Israeli relationship, spends millions of dollars each year lobbying Congress. AIPAC has invested $1,523,395 on lobbying so far in 2014, $991,000 of that in the second quarter. In 2014 spending, it is ranked 190 out of 9,600 total lobby groups. AIPAC's lobbying reached record heights in 2013 – almost $3 million dollars. Although none of the bills AIPAC has lobbied on directly relate to Palestine, many relate to creating stronger ties to Israel. H.R. 938, United States-Israel Strategic Partnership Act of 2014, is one example of a bill lobbied on by AIPAC and seven other lobby groups. It is sponsored by Rep. Ilean Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) and co-sponsored by a combination of Democrats and Republicans.

AIPAC does not contribute directly to candidates, PACs or candidate committees.

AIPAC isn't the only lobbying group that invests heavily in lobbying in support for Israel, but most other organizations fall far behind in lobby spending. J Street has reached $200,000 in lobbying expenses so far this year, while the Zionist Organization of America has spent about $100,000. And although J Street has released statements expressing their moderate stance on the issue, the group is still largely a pro-Israel organization.  J Street is also one of two organizations that lobbied on H.Res 365, "expressing the sense of the House of Representatives commending efforts by the United States to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through a negotiated two-state solution."

The JStreetPAC, J Street's political action committee, has contributed $814,616 to candidates and parties so far in the 2014 cycle, with 97 percent of its contributions going to Democrats.

Among pro-Israel groups, the second highest political contributor is NorPAC, a non-partisan organization with the goal of fostering stronger relations between Israel and the United States. It has contributed $571,856, with about half going to members of each party.

The top recipients of contributions from pro-Israel groups are evenly distributed on party lines. In the House, former House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) has received $198,135 so far this cycle and close behind him is Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Ill.) with $191,153. Senators, though, top the charts in donations from pro-Israel groups. Senator Cory Booker (D-N.J.) has received $322,000, while Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) $250,000, Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) $229,000 and Mark Udall (D-Co.) $204,000. The non-partisan lines on which pro-Israel groups contribute are almost unparalleled by any other sector.

Although lobbying and contributions from pro-Israel groups are a significant factor in Congress's general agreement on Israel, there are other contributors to the opinions of House and Senate members.  First, United States and Israel are historic allies. Israel receives an average of $3.1 billion dollars from the United States each year. Additionally, there are big players, such as Sheldon Adelson, that rally heavily in support of Israel. Adelson and his wife have already contributed $351,000 to parties, PACs and candidates so far this cycle. The couple's charitable trust, the Adelson Family Foundation, also contributes hundreds of millions of dollars to Jewish and Israeli causes.

When it comes to contributions and lobbying expenses from the pro-Palestine community, there isn't much to speak of. Pro-Arab PACs such as the Arab American Leadership PAC and the Arab American PAC have contributed some over the past few cycles, but their numbers pale in comparison to those of pro-Israel groups. The two have given just $3,500 this election cycle — a serious decline from early in the 2000s, when they regularly gave tens of thousands of dollars.

Judaism and Zionism - What's the Difference?

Tip: America was bequeathed a law decreed under Judeo-Christian values boundaries and certainly NOT under a Zionist-Christian constitution!Don't betray your country because of your own ignorance.

Are You Still Confused Between Judaism and Zionism - You Better Know the Difference for Your Own Well Being!

Where the Torah tells about the creation of the first human being, the most prominent Jewish commentator, Rashi, explains that the earth from which Adam was formed was not taken from one spot but from various parts of the globe. Thus human dignity does not depend on the place of one's birth nor is it limited to one region.

Calls Grow for Probes and Defunding of Terror-linked UN Agencies

Wednesday, 10 September 2014 18:04
Written by

Outrage is still growing after a bipartisan coalition of U.S. lawmakers last month demanded an independent investigation of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), a UN outfit, over its controversial activities in the latest conflict between Israel and Hamas, the officially designated terrorist group that rules Gaza. Some former officials and critics of the international organization are even calling on Congress to entirely defund some of its agencies and "human rights" outfits. Instead, the Obama administration has pledged even more U.S. taxpayer funding.

Especially troublesome for outraged members of Congress and other critics was the news that various UN facilities purporting to serve "Palestinian refugees" — schools and clinics, for example — were actually being used by Hamas to store and launch rockets at Israeli civilians. Making matters even worse: Once the missiles were discovered, the UN agency returned them to Hamas, claiming it was standard to hand over such materials to "local authorities" for alleged "disposal."

Instead of properly dealing with such recurring problems at the agency, officials at the international outfit called for "war-crimes" prosecutions of Israelis at the UN's self-styled "International Criminal Court." Among other alleged crimes, UN "human rights" functionaries blasted Israel for shelling UN facilities — the same facilities used by Hamas to launch and hide rockets. A separate UN chastisement of Israel and the U.S. government was based on the fact that the anti-rocket Iron Dome system employed by Israel was not shared with Hamas.

However, despite escalating calls for action on the issue, it seems nothing has changed for the Obama administration.

Not only will U.S. taxpayers continue to fund the widely criticized UN agency, the Obama administration recently pledged an additional $47 million to it. For critics, though, the UNRWA's actions amid the latest conflict are beyond the pale and must be addressed by the U.S. government to avoid similar problems in the future.

"So outrageously have several U.N. institutions behaved, before and during the current Gaza crisis, that the United States can no longer ignore or excuse it," noted former U.S. Ambassador to the UN John Bolton in a recent column.

"Congress must act to defund U.N. bodies that perform unacceptably — thereby denying them the resources and the legitimacy of American support and putting other U.N. agencies on notice they could face a similar fate."

Bolton, a neoconservative who served in the George W. Bush administration, singled out three UN agencies of particular concern. Chief among the global outfits in need of defunding, he said, is the dictator-packed UN "Human Rights Council" and its "High Commissioner for Human Rights."

Obama re-joined the widely ridiculed UN HRC despite broad opposition after the United States had previously withdrawn. The other offending agency U.S. lawmakers should address is the UNRWA, Bolton added.

"These failures are not simply one-time mistakes but reflect far-deeper, inherent flaws in the U.N. system," he wrote. "Given Obama's multi-lateralist sympathies, there is no chance he will do anything meaningful to rectify this conduct.

Instead, Congress must investigate and then take the necessary steps to dissociate the United States from the United Nations' unacceptable behavior regarding Gaza."

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle were outraged, too. In a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry last month, Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.), Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) expressed "profound concern" over the "troubling role" played by UNRWA in the latest conflict.

Among other issues, the three senators highlighted "multiple instances of weapons found at UNRWA schools as well one-sided statements from UNRWA leadership that unjustly condemn Israel."

The Obama administration needs to get to the bottom of it, they said. "We urge the State Department to launch an independent investigation into these incidents and to call on the United Nations leadership to hold UNRWA accountable, including by reprimanding or dismissing the UNRWA staff responsible as appropriate, as well as asking the U.N. to ensure that these incidents never take place again," the lawmakers told Kerry.

Other new members from Big Labor include Larry Cohen, president of the Communications Workers of America, and Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers. The names of the members were found on an official Alliance document Soros’s son Jonathan left behind at the group’s meeting in the Chicago Ritz hotel.

Other new members of the Democracy Alliance, a donors’ collaborative focused on funding left-wing political infrastructure, include Adam Abram (insurance and real estate), Rick Segal (financial services), and Paul Boskind (behavioral health). Among the heirs and heiresses to recently join the group are Amy Goldman (real estate), Henry van Ameringen (manufacturing), and New School professor Philip Munger, son of Berkshire Hathaway vice chairman Charles Munger.

Judicial Watch released a new batch of internal IRS documents revealing that the agency’s handling of applications from Tea Party nonprofits was directed out of the agency’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., contrary to earlier official denials by the White House. The documents also show extensive pressure on the IRS by Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) to shut down conservative-leaning tax-exempt organizations. The IRS emails by then-tax exempt division chief Lois Lerner detail her misleading explanations to investigators about the targeting of Tea Party organizations. The documents were handed over because Judicial Watch filed an October 2013 Freedom of Information Act (FoIA) lawsuit after the agency failed to respond to four FoIA requests dating back to May 2013.

The Internal Revenue Service revoked the charitable status of a conservative nonprofit group that disseminated statements critical of Democrats Hillary Clinton and John Kerry a decade ago. The Patrick Henry Center for Individual Liberty headquartered in Manassas, Virginia, “has shown a pattern of deliberate and consistent intervention in political campaigns” and issued “repeated statements supporting or opposing various candidates by expressing its opinion of the respective candidate’s character and qualifications,” according to an IRS determination. The tax agency found that the group functioned as an “action organization” by publishing alerts on its website for columns written by its president, former FBI agent Gary Aldrich, in which he was harshly critical of Clinton and Kerry, who at the time were both U.S. senators. The ruling takes effect July 1 unless appealed by the group.

Former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge quit Michael Bloomberg’s new gun control group, delivering a setback for the former New York mayor after he said he will spend $50 million on efforts associated with the group and this year’s midterm elections, according to reports. A Ridge spokesman said the former Bush administration cabinet member does not want to be part of an attack on gun rights by the new group, which is called “Everytown for Gun Safety.” “When I signed on as an adviser to Everytown, I looked forward to a thoughtful and provocative discussion about the toll gun violence takes on Americans,” Ridge said. “After consultation with Everytown, I have decided that I am uncomfortable with their expected electoral work.” Bloomberg’s other anti-Second Amendment group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, was profiled in the March 2014 Organization Trends.

We grieve a longtime supporter of CRC, Kenneth Y. Tomlinson, who died at the age of 69. Tomlinson spent most of his life at the Reader’s Digest, where he retired as editor in chief in 1996. President Reagan nominated him to be director of the Voice of America, and President Clinton named him to the board of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Our condolences to his wife of 39 years, Rebecca Moore Tomlinson, and his family.

Classic Example of “Problem ~ Reaction ~ Solution”  At Work

Even after the world community of nations watched US envoy Victoria Nuland show up in the Ukraine with the explicit purpose of fomenting a coup d’etat, the Ukrainian president seems powerless to stop its momentum.
