The Irrelevance of the Republican Party

The first myth to dispense with is that the GOP is a conservative political party. The millions of registered Republican voters, that truly want a genuine conservative to lead this nation, are disappointed with every election cycle. The idiots that emerge as the standard-bearer of the legacy of Abraham Lincoln, are would be despots, wrapped in the flag of a failed empire.

The comic performances in the arena of staged debates, just proves that the party of NeoCons, deserves trouncing into the ground of their blood stained soil. Only Ron Paul has the dignity and courage to claim the consent of the public and lead a revolution that dismantles centralized government. So why won’t rank and file Republicans demand that the Grand Old Party go to battle against the forces of the New World Order?

Who in the mug shots below will make a clear break from the tragic treasonous policies of the last three Republican administrations? Examine each, one at a time.

Michele Bachmann is a Christian Zionist. Her viewpoint that America must be the chief defender of Israel places her in the camp of the NeoCons. The question for her centers on her definition of what exactly is pro-American. Her version of an Israel-First course of action, is inconsistent with the traditional canons of national defense, established in Washington’s Farewell Address. Herman Cain plays the victim, while he champions the Federal Reserve as the crown jewel for the gatekeepers of the corporatist criminal syndicate. Newt Gingrich proclaims himself a "cheap hawk", he is really saying his neo-conservatism loyalty is to a government imperium that is efficient in its pillage and conquests. Newt supports the CIA sub-rosa government. "Frankly I believe that there's too little funding for intelligence, we have too few assets and too few analysts. And I think if the Congress and others are going to demand a greater capacity in intelligence we're going to have to be prepared to pay for a more sophisticated and a more intense structure of intelligence capabilities, and I think its wrong for some members of Congress to vote to cut intelligence spending, to vote to cut the number of intelligence analysts and then to set unrealistically high demands on the intelligence community."

  Jon Huntsman, Jr. accepts that government economic development is a necessary function. How conservative is it to institutionalize FDR socialism as a cornerstone of the corporate/state? "I was criticized at some level within the Republican Party by those who say government should not be in the economic development business at all. My response is that the only country I know that doesn't have an economic development plan is Papa New Guinea."

Ron Paul stands out from the crowd of candidates for several reasons. This quote reflects the insight lacking in the other GOP hopefuls. "As recent as the year 2000 we won elections by saying we shouldn't be the policemen of the world, and that we should not be nation building. And its time we got those values back into this country." It is because of this distinction that the elitist masters of the Republican Party are so scared to allow the Congressman from gaining the nomination.

How is Mitt Romney any different from the NeoCons? "We will strengthen our security by building missile defense, restoring our military might, and standing by and strengthening our intelligence officers." Here is where Mitt and Newt become joined at the hip. Both are able to deliver an articulate message that seems to resonate to many, but when you dissect their actual methods for implementing policy, the similarities with the Bush era gang of internationalists, is exposed.

Rick Santorum bills himself as the most socially conservative among the latest gang of dwarfs. But, he buys hook line and sinker the phony war on terror. "This is a huge victory for the people of the 911th and the team we put together. Not only did they get the expanded mission, they get to keep what they've had, too. It's more than a complete victory."

  With the exception of Ron Paul, the stature of the Republican candidates for President cannot hold a candle to the like of Congressman Hamilton Fish III, Senator Robert Taft, Senator Barry Goldwater, and Pat Buchanan.

Explain how a sincere Republican can ignore Ron Paul and support any of the phony status quo clones for the nomination? The straightforward explanation is that the average GOP voter is just as dumb as a Democrat supporter. End the tyranny of the NeoCons and regain your own dignity.

Rick Perry’s Trail of Corruption

Picture the Marlboro Man riding out of the west, healthy, rugged and free . . . until you recall two of the iconic Marlboro men, Wayne McLaren and David McLean, died of lung cancer. Ironically, McLaren testified in favor of anti-smoking legislation, but the phony Madison Avenue icon lives on. But the deadliest Marlboro Man phony ad is the one that portrays politician Rick Perry as a cowboy. The ads are clearly rustling the Reagan brand and marketing it as his own.

Neighbors in his hometown of Paint Creek and Haskell County clearly think Perry is riding to power on a rustled horse with a false brand. Big city Texans agree. Perry has enjoyed lavish perks and travel, paid for by crony capitalists who have funded Perry’s jetting around the world, stays in luxury hotels and resorts, vacations in exclusive Colorado ski towns, expensive sporting events and concerts, at least nine hunting trips, entertainment—even paying the cable bill at the 4,600-square-foot mansion with a heated pool that the taxpayers are paying for—$8,500 a month. As The Houston Chronicle said, Perry’s “a long way from the cotton farm.”

Perry’s acceptance of such perks feeds a corrupt pay-to-play political culture in Texas. His campaign paid $426,000 last year to settle an opponent’s lawsuit alleging it accepted illegal contributions from a top donor.

According to an article by Kenneth P.Vogel in the Washington daily Politico, insurance company owner Phil Adams has contributed nearly $290,000 to Perry’s gubernatorial campaigns. Terrabon Inc., a company in which Adams invested, got $2.75 million from the Texas Emerging Technology Fund, a state economic development program overseen by Perry.

Perry’s trips to Israel are examples of his “extravagant lifestyle funded by secretive corporate contributions” which resulted in favors in return. The trip had been organized and partly funded by Irwin Katsof, an international energy financier and Israel backer, who also helped fund a 2007 Perry trip to Israel.

Doug Pitcock, a major Perry campaign contributor, who runs a road building firm that does millions of dollars in business with the state, revealed that he had loaned his plane to the governor to fly to Israel and wanted to donate the cost of the flight—$180,000—to Texas One (a privately funded “public/private partnership designed for economic development in Texas”) as an in-kind tax-deductible contribution.

Perry spokeswoman Catherine Frazier said the 2007 trip spurred the formation of the Texas-Israel Chamber of Commerce and “served as a catalyst to the governor’s support of Texas’s divestment from companies that do business with Iran.” 

When Perry announced his run for the presidency in South Carolina, he began his speech: “I’m the product of a place called Paint Creek—doesn’t have a zip code.” (Its zip code is 79521.) He invoked images of his rural school, growing cotton and wheat, his mother sewing his clothes when he went off to college, his Boy Scout troop (No. 48) . . . “It’s a great place to grow up. . . .Wonderful people out there.” 

Meanwhile, back on the farm, “I never saw him on a tractor in his life,” said one of Perry’s old neighbors, who requested anonymity. “And I never did see him on a horse.” 

It’s no crime not to be a farmer—but it does show lack of character to pretend you are one. Wallar Overton, 72, Perry’s old Boy Scout troop leader, the one who awarded him his Eagle Scout badge, said he likely won’t be voting for him. 

When Perry’s birthplace was devastated by a flood in 2004, Perry turned his back on Haskell, according to Haskell’s county judge, David C. Davis. 

Don Ballard, the superintendent of the county’s school system, concurred with Davis. “It was pretty bad,” he said. “We lost a bunch of homes around the lake. . . .We had a lot of homes damaged,” but Perry didn’t send “any kind of aid.”

Appearing with Jewish extremists is designed to win over apocalyptic Christians

At a press conference in New York on Tuesday billed "pro-Israel," Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry was flanked by Orthodox Jewish leaders. At first blush the event looked like a play for Jewish voters who would buy his claim that President Obama was a modern-day Neville Chamberlain despite official U.S. opposition to the Palestinian bid for statehood recognition at the United Nations. But while Perry touted his Jewish endorsers, his intended audience was not Jews but Christian Zionists.

Perry, no doubt, seeks the approval of conservative Jewish pundits and the campaign contributions of hawkish donors. But in the battle to prove himself to the crucial voters in evangelical-heavy early primary states like Iowa, South Carolina and Florida, Perry needs to distinguish himself from the merely Israel-supportive Mitt Romney. 

And for that, he needs to prove beyond the boilerplate Israel-is-America's-greatest-ally that he embraces Israel's role in what Christian Zionists believe is prophesied in the Bible: that the establishment of the state of Israel is one step in the chain of events that will lead to a bloody showdown at Armageddon and culminate in the Second Coming of Christ.
 
As a Texan, Perry is well familiar with this base, and in particular the religious underpinnings of its beliefs. His friend John Hagee, the San Antonio televangelist who endorsed and spoke at Perry's August prayer rally the Response, is a leading Christian Zionist who in 2006 founded Christians United for Israel, which in short order became the leading Christian Zionist political organization in the country. With a national network of pastors and supporters who host regular "pro-Israel" events at churches, and Hagee's solid relationships with both Republican and Democratic elected officials, CUFI has managed to transform Hagee's apocalyptic fervor into a political movement with the ear of prominent politicians.

Like Perry, many of these politicians understand that CUFI’s followers represent a significant swath of evangelical Republican voters. A 2005 poll by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life found that white evangelicals were “significantly more likely to believe that God gave the land of Israel to the Jews” than other respondents (72 percent versus 44 percent) and “significantly more likely to believe that Israel fulfills the biblical prophecy about Jesus’ second coming” (63 percent versus 36 percent).

The survey also found that “traditionalist” evangelicals, the largest evangelical subgroup, which is characterized by its orthodoxy and church attendance, are most likely to agree that U.S. policy should favor Israel over the Palestinians. Traditionalist evangelicals, Pew found, provided George W. Bush with 27 percent of his total votes in the 2004 election.

In 2008, though, John McCain notoriously rejected Hagee’s endorsement, a move that startled and angered evangelical leaders. 

Without missing a beat, Perry has enthusiastically embraced him, building on his appearance at Hagee’s church the Sunday before Election Day 2006, and then welcoming him as a leader in the Response. At that event last month, where Hagee compared Perry to Abraham Lincoln, a section of the stadium was reserved for — and filled with — members of Hagee’s Cornerstone Church.

Many, like Sarah Palin has, were sporting Judaica — Stars of David, yarmulkes, prayer shawls — to demonstrate their claimed affection for all things Jewish. But for Hagee’s followers, this fetishizing of all things Jewish is motivated by the belief that when Jesus comes back, the world will be ruled by a rabbi, and they’d better be ready to adopt Jewish practices. Still, though, they believe one needs to accept Jesus as savior now, so they won’t be left behind when the Rapture happens.

While politicians like Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman dismiss concerns that Hagee is animated by a biblical prophecy about Armageddon, Perry knows full well that Hagee’s followers are indeed motivated by prophecy, not policy. In an email alert this week, CUFI touted that “CUFI is making a difference! Israel is rapidly becoming an issue recognized by millions of Americans as a key factor in our national security and an essential requirement in receiving God’s blessings as a nation and a people.” (emphasis added)

Asked on Tuesday whether he considered supporting Israel a theological priority, Perry responded, “Well, obviously, Israel is our oldest and most stable democratic ally in that region.” That’s the boilerplate, but then he went on, “That is what this is about. I also as a Christian have a clear directive to support Israel. So from my perspective, it’s pretty easy. Both as an American and as a Christian, I am going to stand with Israel.”

Perry’s directive is straight from the Christian Zionist reading of Genesis 12:3: God “blesses” those who “bless” Israel and “curses” those who do not. Like the theme of Perry’s Response — that America must collectively repent for “sins” like abortion — this view is premised on the notion that God will punish America if it doesn’t “support” Israel. In his 2006 book, “Jerusalem Countdown,” Hagee argued that God would curse America with terrorist attacks if it didn’t militarily strike Iran to destroy its nuclear program.

The blessings and curses don’t just apply to a failure to strike Iran, but to any U.S. support for the Israel-Palestine peace process, and in particular, dismantling of the Jewish settlements in the occupied territories. I once interviewed a woman at Hagee’s church who believed that Hurricane Katrina was God’s punishment for what she termed the “Gaza land giveaway,” otherwise known as Israel’s 2005 pullout from the Gaza Strip.

“Jerusalem Countdown” was recently made into a film featuring, among others, Stacey Keach, Lee Majors and Randy Travis, and is endorsed by the American Family Association, the anti-gay, anti-Muslim Christian right group that bankrolled the Response. The website for the film reveals the real heart of Hagee’s polemic, noting that it “highlights the reality of an inevitable conflict between Israel and Islam.”

That cosmic battle with Islam is also the theme of the propaganda films “Relentless,” “Obsession” and “The Third Jihad,” produced by the Clarion Fund, an offshoot of the Orthodox Jewish group Aish Hatorah. The films are widely promoted to evangelical audiences. The Clarion Fund has ties to Jewish businessman Irwin Katsof, who paid for a Perry trip to Israel in 2007, where his firm Global Capital Associates gave the governor a “Friend of Zion” award.

Perry’s allies in Israel also understand how to play the Christian Zionists. Far-right Knesset Deputy Speaker Danny Danon, who appeared with Perry in New York, argues Israel should annex the West Bank to punish the Palestinians for pursuing statehood. He apparently inspired Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh (of deadbeat dad fame) to introduce a congressional resolution supportive of an Israeli annexation of “Judea and Samaria” should the Palestinians continue their quest for U.N. statehood recognition.

Although at the Tuesday press conference Perry claimed to not know of Danon’s annexation demand, he, like Walsh, understands that his audience is the Christian Zionists, not American Jews. In fact, prominent Jews question his allies. When his friend Danon staged a show trial in the Knesset in an effort to portray the American group J Street as “anti-Israel” for its support of a two-state solution, even the Anti-Defamation League’s Abe Foxman, criticized by liberal Jews for, among other things, his opposition to the Park51 community center in New York, called Danon’s hearings “inappropriate” and “counterproductive.” And this week, J Street’s president Jeremy Ben Ami called Perry’s “pro-Israel” press conference “one of the most irresponsible things I have ever seen in my three decades in American politics.”

Christian Zionism is not without its evangelical critics. On the same day that Perry held his news conference, the evangelical scholars David Gushee and Glen Stassen released an open letter to their Christian Zionist brethren accusing them of underwriting sin against the Palestinians. Pleading with their evangelical brethren to rethink their reading of biblical texts, the pair argued, “it is overwhelmingly clear that American evangelical-fundamentalist Christian Zionism affects US policy toward Israel and the Palestinians in distressing ways. It is one reason why the United States stands almost alone in the world community in supporting Israeli policies which our international friends generally find intolerable if not immoral and illegal.”

The dire tone of Gushee and Stassen’s letter demonstrates just how powerful (and destructive) the Christian Zionist ideology has been. Perry understands the power, but has chosen to overlook the destruction.

81% Of Texas Job Growth Under Perry Went To Immigrants

Can the GOP be serious about dragging out Perry, or even a newly coiffed Romney  from their flop houses as legitimate presidential candidates to put before American voters again? Perry could be the 'chosen one' to usher in the NAU and TPP... Hmmm.  

They're both ready for the Out House or Gallows Shed, not the White House. Has either of them even held a competitive job in the private sector of competition, or been in the government feed trough all their adult lives?

Governor Rick Perry is quick to tout the job growth in Texas as one of his defining characteristics, accomplishments and results that Americans should depend on when considering him for the Republican nomination for president. Placing this issue front and center has pushed him forward and convinced many that he may be the candidate to support to resurrect a climate of positive job creation in this country. As there is a continued downturn in the US job market it seems like a plausible consideration until you actually take a look at the job climate Perry created in Texas. As with everything in politics bending things in your favor when the truth is not quite as appealing is an art form. And Perry, his team and supporters are either masters or blinded by numbers they have not looked into.

The Center for Immigration Studies has taken up the challenge of actually looking into the jobs created in Texas and just who those jobs went to in a new report.

The report confirms that jobs were created in Texas, 279,000 to be exact, over the last 4 years from 2007 to 2011. Who has received these jobs and how this impacts the United States as a whole - should Perry become president - is another matter. The report, which used census data, finds that of the 279,000 jobs created 225,000 of those jobs went to immigrants, both legal and illegal, who arrived in the US in the same four year period.

The majority of growth of working age people in Texas - 69% - was of native born Texans. Yet of this group they only received 19% of the newly created jobs in the state. The rest went to immigrants who came into the state since 2007.
 

Half of the 81% of jobs immigrants received were taken by illegal aliens.

The most damning statistic the report finds is that half of the 81% of jobs immigrants received were taken by illegal aliens. 

Thus 40% of all job growth in Texas in the past four years went to illegal aliens, 40% went to non-citizen legal immigrants and 19% went to native Texans who are US citizens. The report finds also that the jobs taken are far from the "jobs Americans won't do". The job types taken were not only of a low-skilled blue collar type; a third of the immigrants who took a job had some college. It was across the educational spectrum of jobs that immigrants received over native Texans. I contend that it is not because the immigrants were more qualified, but that the jobs climate that Rick Perry created in the state of Texas was in favor of immigrants over the native born.

When just the number of employed native born Texans are analyzed for the past four years, the numbers speak volumes as to the truth of the jobs situation in Texas. In 2007 the percent of native born Texans with a job was 71%, in 2011 it is 67%, a 4% drop in native employment. As the report points out this is consistent with the rate of employment of all the other states.

... it is difficult to find evidence to support the argument that things are very different in Texas than in the rest of the country for the native-born population. In the second quarter of 2011, the unemployment rate in Texas was 8.1 percent for natives, ranking the state 22nd out of 50 states in terms of the lowest rate. If we compare the growth in unemployment from 2007 to 2011, the rate roughly doubled in Texas, which is very similar to what happened in the country as a whole. The share of working-age natives holding a job in Texas was 66.6 percent in 2011, ranking Texas 29th in the nation. Both the unemployment rate and the employment rate represent a significant deterioration for natives since 2007. A deterioration that roughly parallels what took place in the rest of the nation.

Is this really a jobs program we want for the United States?

When governor Perry points out that he's created jobs, he has created jobs for non-citizens in his state. He has created jobs for those who cannot vote for him, while those who supported him are left out of a job. It is simply ludicrous to have the largest growth in your state be native Texans, yet to have 81% of new jobs not go to those native Texans and then to turn around and call that a win for your state on job creation.

The reality is that Texas governor Rick Perry has encouraged illegal immigration. He has also encouraged legal immigrants in his state to create and give jobs to other immigrants, both illegal and legal over US citizens. There can simply be no other way to look at it. There is no reason for growth to be in one segment of the population, denying it to all the others unless the job climate created favored that situation. It defies logic and reason to see this happen and not believe that there is either an incentive balance created by the state legislature of Texas and Rick Perry, or there is some outright racism going on favoring immigrants over citizens in how people are being hired. The only other false argument that could be made is to believe that native Texans are simply a lazy bunch of people - and that I do not believe.

The facts point out that Rick Perry is the governor of the non-citizen.

This all boils down to the truth of the matter and that truth is that the facts point out that Rick Perry is the governor of the non-citizen. He looks out for non-citizens first and touts his job creation among them as his highest accomplishment. That is not what we need for the United States. We need a leader who is willing to support the creation of jobs among all segments of society and not put in place incentives that favor illegal aliens and the guests we have allowed to come to our country over the citizens of our nation. When you hear Perry say anything about job creation in Texas, remember that the US Citizens in Texas were not among those who received those jobs by and large, they were illegal aliens and guests we have invited in to compete directly against American workers who have taken 81% of the jobs in Texas. The Wall Street Journal, NPR, The New York Times, and other mainstream media have engaged in an obvious and silly boycott of presidential candidate Ron Paul. Report after report about the Republican primary excluded him, though occasionally they’d mention his name—to be fair and balanced. Texas Gov. Rick Perry has come out against the marketing of a Confederate license plate in his state, an issue that could come up again in his bid for the Republican presidential nomination.

As the Austin American Statesman's Jason Embry reports, the plate has been proposed by the Sons of Confederate Veterans, an ancestral history group that has been involved in litigation to display the Confederate flag in state buildings and on monuments around the country.

Rick Perry’s about to get hit on a new front for his record on immigration policy — this time from tea party groups back home in Texas.

The Texas Tea Party Caucus Advisory Board, a citizen group that advises the caucus’s 27 state legislators, will attack Perry for being insufficiently tough on so-called sanctuary cities at a press conference next week.

Grin and Bear It was the name of a Sunday comic strip I loved. Its writer/artist went by the name George Lichty. When I was a kid, he did one I've always remembered. The mainstream media tried to ignore him. They thought they could keep his message from getting out to the public. When they couldn't keep his message hidden any longer as his supporters got the word out and more and more people saw the signs waving and went to the web to sate their interests, they denounced him. They called him crazy, just like his ideas and his supporters. They claimed his ideas could never work. They claimed he was just too radical and was unelectable. All their attacks have missed their marks or backfired. The message of liberty resonates in the spirit of the common folk. Freedom has worked in the past and it can work again in the future. Our nation was built upon these principles and it became a great nation because of them, not in spite of them. The principles that have brought this nation down, that have steered us to this point in history, to the brink of economic disaster and societal collapse, are the principles of collectivism that have been slowly forced upon us by the established power and political elite, particularly in the last century or so.

It's bedtime, children, so put on your jammies, scootch under the covers, and I'll tell you another "Perry Tale."

Once again, the Texas-governor-who-wants-to-be-your-president is flitting hither, thither and yon — spreading little "Perry Tales" about his record. The bonny prince is trying to make it to the big White House in Washington. It's a bit of a strange quest, because he calls the Capital City "a seedy place," and he tells the commoners in the land that he hates — nay, deeply loathes! — the very government that he wants to head.

With his tea party hat carefully positioned atop his bounteous crop of perfectly coifed hair, Prince Rick warns the commoners that big government is bad, bad, bad — because it intrudes into their lives, forcing things like Social Security and Medicare on them.

When asked yesterday by Fox and Friends host Gretchen Carlson to opine on the controversial remarks made by Teamsters leader Jimmy Hoffa, GOP presidential frontrunner Rick Perry laudably avoided commenting, instead focusing on the deadly and out-of-control brush fires that were raging across his state of Texas. A new report suggests however, that Governor Perry placed lesser import on the state funded volunteer fire departments, at least evidenced by an effort to cut those budgets by 75 per cent.

• Toll Roads and Trans Texas Corridor – Is it socialism, fascism or communism? Keeps trying to ram Trans Texas Corridor (TTC) down Texans throats. Massive land grab. Toll roads are gargantuan TAX increases, debt time bombs and an attack on property rights. Rick Perry has instituted a huge tax increase in Texas in the form of toll roads; going from zero debt on roads to $30 billion in toll road debt in 10 years as Perry sells off Texas’ public infrastructure. They will financially blow up later, just like real estate market did, because of the high leverage. (2003-2011)
• Business Margins Tax – backdoor state income tax (2006)
• Cheats on Anita – has sex with hookers and sluts, while spouting Christian buzzwords. Google “Why Anita Perry Never Smiles,” Google “Rick Perry Adultery.”
• HPV vaccine mandate – Attack on parental rights. Tried to make every 12 year old girl in Texas be forced to take Gardisil shots because his former Chief of Staff Mike Toomey is a lobbyist for Merck. Perry literally tried to mandate this by executive decree as if he were a Hillary Clinton dictator until the Lege crushed it overwhelmingly. (2007)
• FLDS El Dorado raid – Massive attack on parental rights and home schoolers; Religious Oppression. 438 children ripped away from parents and traumatized for months. Out of control Child Protective Services goons raid based on crank phone call; breaks up dozens of families. Courts overturn all this and Perry never apologizes – shameless. (2008)
• Was Democrat Al Gore’s campaign chairman 1988 – for all of Texas. Then Karl Rove recruited Perry to switch parties so Perry could win Agricultural Commissioner as a Republican. Rick Perry is a Trojan Horse for statism cloaked in Tea Party rhetoric and Christian Bible talk buzzwords. Very cynical.
• Defeats Steven Wayne Smith – makes robo phone calls against most conservative Supreme Court judge in modern Texas history. Smith was the equivalent of Robert Bork, probably the best judge we had in Texas in 50 years. His crime was beating RINO, Xavier Rodriguez, appointee of Rick Perry in a primary. Perry got in a funk and vowed to bring down Smith next time and he did. Rodriguez also made some pro-abortion rulings. (2004)
• Supports No Child Left Behind Act and Dept. of Education (Hey, is the federal government running your local school in the Constitution? Fine with Rick Perry.)
• Instituted state CHIP program for Texas!, a widely abused program and one more step to socialized medicine, more taxes and rationed healthcare. (Hey, is CHIP in the 10th Amendment?)
• Supports Sobriety Check Points! Unconstitutional trashing of YOUR 4th Amendment rights where everyone is pulled over with no probable cause and no reasonable suspicion. (Perry supported SB 298 bill) 2009
• Vetoes Texas Eminent Domain Bill – taking your land for a toll road more important than signing property rights protection overwhelmingly passed by Legislature. (2007)
• Signs Hate Crimes bill -- Attack on free speech and creates thought crimes, includes sexual orientation as a class! (2001)
• Governor for NINE years, then reads about the 10th Amendment a few years ago. Trying to piggy back on Ron Paul and the Tea Party movement. Completely insincere because for 9 years Perry never said an ill word about federal incroachments, No Child Left Behind, etc. (2009)
• Endorses liberal cross dresser and gun grabber Rudy Guiliani for President (2008) – tells his good friend Mike Huckabee I love you like a brother, but you can’t win so I am going with gun grabber Rudy Julie Annie, he’s a sure thing! The Bilderbergers said I can be VP if I grovel enough and am for toll roads, globalism, open borders, big government, big pharma and, of course, the Federal Reserve.
• Globalist bootlicker – Bilderberger toady (2007). For United Nations, NAFTA, CAFTA, Trans Texas Corridor.
• Token opposition to illegal immigration – probably because the illegals will be building all his toll roads!
• Does not stand up for elected State Board of Education every time it gets castrated by the liberals in the legislature Throws crumbs to conservatives on SBOE, but when they really need him, hides under desk, sticks fingers in ears. Did not veto SBOE redistricting map which was designed to castrate conservatives. (2011).
• Texas Enterprise Fund – basically, Rick Perry’s slush fund for politically connected insiders, another WASTE of your tax dollars. Gave $20 Million to Country Wide Financial which went bankrupt. Many company executives who get access to this slush fund are – you guess it – Perry contributors. Rick Perry has a massive cronyism problem. Supports $5 titty bar tax on every patron of a strip club – Wife Anita also supports it. “Wife” Anita on salary for $65,000/year at the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault and titty bar tax is their #1 legislative agenda item. TAASA receives state money already and wants to get grubby hands on titty bar tax. Titty bar tax ruled unconstitutional by lower courts. (2010) Adulterer Rick has sex with strippers on the side and does not pay $5 titty bar tax.
• Refused to stay the death sentence of Cameron Todd Willingham – Willingham had been convicted of murdering his family via an arson determination that was based on junk science. Even worse, Perry later removed 3 members of board of the Texas Forensic Science Commission that was investigating the case and put political pressure on the head of the panel (2009)
• Supported whopping $3 Billion Cancer BONDS, the Lance Armstrong cancer tax – more taxing, borrowing and spending. (2007). For Texas borrowing money to go into the cancer research business.
• Tries to intimidate FEMALE state trooper who pulls him over for speeding while he was lieutenant governor, telling her “Why don’t you just let us get on down the road?” as she was writing him a ticket. (1999)
• Tells a Houston tv reporter Ted Oberg “Adios, mofo.” (2005)

Perry Tales: Rick Is Not Who He Says He Is

Presidential wannabe Rick Perry is flitting all around the country — hither, thither and yon — spreading little "Perry Tales" about himself and the many wonders he has worked as governor of Texas.

His top Perry Tale is a creationist story about what he has modestly branded "The Texas Miracle." While the rest of the country is mired in joblessness, says the miracle worker, his state has added 1.2 million jobs during his 10-year tenure.

I've built "a job-creating machine," the governor gushed during one of his recent flits across Iowa, and a Perry PR aide smugly added, "The governor's job creation record speaks for itself."

Actually, it doesn't. Far from having the best unemployment rate in the nation, the Lone Star State ranks a middling 26th, behind New York, Massachusetts and other states whose "liberal" governments he routinely mocks.

Even more damning, Perry's Texas is not creating nearly enough jobs to keep up with its fast-growing population. Those 1.2 million new positions are 629,000 short of the jobs needed just to bring the state's employment level back up to where it was in 2007. Some miracle.

Worse, probe even a millimeter into the million-jobs number that he is sprinkling around like fairy dust, and you'll learn that Perry's jobs are mostly "jobettes" that can't sustain a family. 

They come with very low pay, no health care or pension, and no employment security, labor rights or upward mobility — many are only part-time and/or temporary positions.

Here's a particularly revealing stat that the Perry pixies don't want us to see: On his watch as governor, Texas added more minimum wage jobs than all the other 49 states combined. More than half a million Texans now work for $7.25 an hour or less. He can brag that he's brought Texans down into a tie with Mississippi for the highest percentage of workers reduced to poverty pay.

Looks like the Houston Chronicle is sinking its teeth into Rick Perry's ties to Houston homebuilder Bob Perry. It seems that the Texas Residential Construction Commission (TRCC) was created to help builders deal with homeowners who wanted to hold them accountable. Though not related to Rick, Bob and the governor have an historically cozy relationship. Shortly after giving Governor Perry a big, fat campaign contribution, Bob's attorney was magically appointed to serve on the commission by.... Governor Rick!
