John McCain's Terrorist Friends

1st pub. CV on 05.29.13
My Catbird Seat May 29, 2013
"The Israel lobby’s involvement in all this is somewhat obscure, but WINEP has been on the scene providing quotes and rationales for US intervention, and now with the Israeli air strikes and all this talk of Hezbollah propping up a supposedly faltering Assad, it’s clear why: the Israelis want to use this opportunity to take out another of their enemies.

They lured us into attacking Iraq, and now they are insisting we go after Iran – but as an appetizer, so to speak, they’re inviting us to first gobble up Syria before partaking of the main course."

NOT AGAIN: More US AID, Missiles Shipped to al Nusra and ISIS in Syria, Iraq

March 5, 2015 By 21wire

Two weeks ago, 21WIRE reported on how ISIS and other terrorists militants operating in Syria and Iraq are receiving regular weapons and ‘supply drops’  – forming a ‘rat line’ which seems to be playing a crucial role in keeping this highly profitable conflict going on both sides.

This week, it’s been reported that Jabhat Al-Nusra fighters have been brandishing US-supplied TOW missiles, as well as posing for pictures in front of boxes with the ‘U.S.’ insignia (see full report below).
Charles Lister @Charles_Lister Non-US-backed rebels use American TOW missile captured from #ISIS, which captured it from US-backed rebels!! #Syria 6:52 AM - 24 Feb 2015
This latest bombshell comes on the heals of last week’s report, where two British aircraft which were downed in Iraq. The aircraft appear to have been working the ‘rat lines’ – supplying various Islamist terrorist fighting groups who are active in the region. Fars News Agency explains:

“The Iraqi Parliament’s National Security and Defense Committee has access to the photos of both planes that are British and have crashed while they were carrying weapons for the ISIL,” Head of the committee Hakem al-Zameli said, according to a Monday report of the Arabic-language information center of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq. He said the Iraqi parliament has asked London for explanations in this regard. The senior Iraqi legislator further unveiled that the government in Baghdad is receiving daily reports from people and security forces in al-Anbar province on numerous flights by the US-led coalition planes that airdrop weapons and supplies for ISIL in terrorist-held areas.”

Why are these ‘supply drops’ so important to this story? The US media has gone out of its way to spin the myth that “ISIS controls large parts of the Middle East”. The reality is that, while there are some cities and villages in Iraq and Syria which are under ISIS control, they do not control “large areas” of the region, and therefore require frequent air drops behind ISIS lines to maintain their military operations.

Such are the challenges of supplying ‘McCain’s Army’ in Syria, and Iraq. By insisting on fueling the Syrian conflict over the last 4 years, somehow, the US and its allies seem to be doing a fine job of supplying ISIS and maintaining their base of operations – keeping the planet’s most violent terrorists well fed, watered and armed – ultimately helping the US, UK, Saudi, Israel and other allies.

The Anglo-American Axis appears to be using the ‘ISIS Crisis’ as a front in order to undermine and ultimately unseat the Syrian government in Damascus – an outcome which would certainly turn Syria into another ‘Libya situation’ – permanently unstable and thus requiring indefinite Western military presence in the region, and later, to oversee the break-up of Syria.

In the image below, an American, or ‘USAID’ insignia can clearly be seen as an ISIS militant boasts about the mountain of supplies they are receiving.

It should be noted also that for decades, USAID has long been outed as a CIA front organization who has been instrumental in fueling wars and conflicts all around the globe…

Al-Qaeda Militants Seize U.S. Supplied Weapons in Aleppo

Leith Fadel
Almasdar News

Two days after the disbandment of the second U.S. backed “moderate” rebel militia in six months, the Syrian Al-Qaeda branch “Jabhat Al-Nusra” (Al-Nusra Front) seized a large cache of TOW (wire-guided anti-tank) missiles inside Regiment 46 Base in southwestern Aleppo after defeating Harakat Hazzm (Movement of Steadfastness) in a short battle.

Images of Jabhat Al-Nusra fighters with the U.S. supplied TOW missiles surfaced on Monday morning, as they paraded around the captured Regiment 46 Base, posing for pictures in front of boxes with the U.S.’ insignia.

The growing fear of hardline Islamist groups getting ahold of these potent weapons has now become a reality for the hesitant western politicians, who questioned the distribution of these arms to militias affiliated with the likes of Al-Qaeda in Syria.

For Jabhat Al-Nusra, the confiscation of these powerful weapons will pay dividends for their fighters entrenched in rural areas that are swarmed with Syrian Arab Army (SAA) armored divisions; however, at what cost?

It is not clear how many TOW missiles the militants of Jabhat Al-Nusra were able to seize, but their photos depicted dozens of boxes in their possession.

[And while you're at it, how about some weapons shipments to terrorists in Syria. Who delivered these?]

21WIRE has detailed a number of reports which clearly indicate that American weapons and supplies are consistently making their way into the hands of al Qaeda, al Nusra and ISIS fighters. The US media have skillfully been spinning these embarrassing revelations to make it sound as if ISIS has somehow “just happened to acquire US weapons and supplies”.

CIA Contractor: We Fabricated ISIS

Posted by Sean Adl-Tabatabai
Former CIA contractor Steven Kelley has said on record that ISIS/ISIL are a fabricated terrorist group made and funded by the CIA in the United States.

According to the video description:
“This is a completely fabricated enemy,” he said in a phone interview with Press TV from Anaheim, California on Thursday.

“The funding is completely from the United States and its allies and for people to think that this enemy is something that needs to be attacked in Syria or Iraq is a farce because obviously this is something that we create it, we control and only now it has become inconvenient for us to attack this group as a legitimate enemy,” Kelley added.

He made the remarks as US President Barack Obama is under pressure to seek congressional approval before expanding Washington’s military air campaign against ISIL targets from Iraq into neighboring Syria.

The Pentagon has already launched at least 100 airstrikes on ISIL positions in northern Iraq since Obama authorized the use of force against the terrorist group earlier this month.

The White House insists it does not need explicit congressional authorization for those operations because they are intended to protect American personnel and interests inside the Arab country.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Monday that Obama “will not hesitate to use his authority” to keep Americans safe, but added that the president was “committed to coordinating and consulting with Congress” on a decision to hit ISIL targets in Syria.

“If you want to get to the root of the problem and remove this organization, the first thing they need to do is to remove the funding and take care of entities responsible for the creation of this group,” Kelley said.

“I believe that this ISIS group would probably go away, would be easily defeated by the armies of [Syrian President] Bashar Assad,” he said.

Canada’s quiet coup: How a CIA off-shoot helped install Stephen Harper as Canada’s prime minister

Related source links on the subversive International Republican Institute (IRI), USAID, and the US congressionally-funded NED

Posted on

The biggest threat to Canada’s national security is internal. It is the offshoot of an extraordinarily successful—because it remains largely undetected—coup that imposed itself on the country with the federal election of the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) in 2006, and solidified its impacts with the election of a Conservative majority in 2011.

Author, poet, academic, and former Canadian diplomat Prof. Peter Dale Scott recently disclosed a WikiLeaks cable indicating that the International Republican Institute (IRI), an off-shoot of the CIA, and a subsidiary of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) helped install Stephen Harper as Canada’s Prime Minister. This was the coup.

Point 12 of the cable explains that “In addition to the campaign schools, IRI will be bringing in consultants who specialize in party renovation to discuss case studies of political parties in Germany, Spain, and Canada which successfully carried out the process.”

The “party renovation” referenced in the cable is the “renovation” of Canada’s indigenous Progressive Conservative Party into a Republican-inspired Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) that is largely subservient to the U.S Empire south of the border.

A similar, but more violent, “renovation” process occurred in 2009 when the democratically-elected government of Manuel Zelaya was overthrown in a U.S-orchestrated coup. It is also the same illegal “renovation” that is destabilizing Venezuela today, as the US interferes in the internal politics of that country, in what is often described as a “soft coup”.

Dr. Anthony James Hall, Professor of Globalization Studies at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta Canada, explains the genesis of the Harper Conservative assault on the “Red Tory” traditions of Canada’s indigenous conservative party in Flanagan’s Last Stand? :
” The assault by the Harper-Flanagan juggernaut on the generally friendly orientation of Canadian conservatism towards the state, towards Indigenous peoples, and towards the institutions of Crown sovereignty helped clear aside obstacles to the importation from United States of the Republican Party’s jihad on managed capitalism. Flanagan and Harper took charge of the Canadian version of the Reagan Revolution aimed at transforming the social welfare state into the stock market state.”

The implications of this conservative “jihad” are a threat to our national security on many levels. Stephen Harper’s attacks on Canada’s knowledge base are foundational to what can only be described as an endorsement of man-made climate change, which is likely the foremost threat to both humanity and to Canada. The Fifth Assessment Report of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) stresses the urgency to act now to mitigate catastrophic climate change, and yet the Harper government is moving Canada in the opposite direction. Most recently, the Harper government ratified a bilateral agreement with China, the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPPA), which all but guarantees further expansion of Canada’s Tar Sands, and an expansion of its carbon economy.

Canada’s warmongering also bodes poorly for our collective security. The Conservative government has exploited the collective shock of the murder of Corporal Cirillo at Ottawa’s National War Monument, and the subsequent shoot-out at the House of Commons, by falsely conflating the tragedy with “Islamic terrorism” and by using it as a pretext to wage illegal warfare against ISIS. Many Canadians, including Cpl. Nathan Cirillo’s girlfriend, argue that we should be addressing the tragedy by improving Canada’s capacity to provide mental health care for all of its citizens, yet that is not part of the Harper government’s longstanding agenda.

Instead of working to stop the flow of money and arms to proxy mercenary armies—that are for the most part allied with the West to illegally topple the government of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad—Canada has instead chosen to use military options, all but guaranteeing prolonged and deadly warfare which will exact a horrendous toll on innocent civilians.

This militarism will likely be a threat to Canada’s security as well, since Canada will increasingly be associated with war crimes and imperial hegemony abroad, rather than peace-keeping.

The largely undetected coup, as revealed by the WikiLeaks cable, goes a long way towards explaining Canada’s current predicament.

This secret intervention in Canada’s political landscape will continue to undermine our country’s prosperity and security, unless we become more conscious of its insidious impacts and choose instead trajectories towards peace and national security. The foundational (though suppressed) evidence is shouting that we’re on the wrong course, and that we need to make changes fast.

Proof that Huma Abedin Has Muslim Brotherhood Connections

Hillary's close trusted advisor, Huma Abedin, Dep. Chief of Staff, US State Dept.

July 25, 2012

Eileen F. Toplansky

Michele Bachmann and four other Republican congressional representatives requested  "that no Muslim Brotherhood-associated entity or individual [be] placed into a position of honor or trust within the programs and operations of the Department of State unless he or she has publicly condemned and disclaimed the previously stated goals of the Muslim Brotherhood." At no time did these congressional representatives imply that Huma Abedin, Deputy Chief of Staff for the State Department, was "part of a nefarious conspiracy."

Monday, Walid Shoebat published this 37-page booklet entitled "Proof: Huma has Ties to Muslim Brotherhood -- Countless Documents Surface" and this was followed up with Tuesday's update that "Huma Abedin Served on Board with Al-Qaeda Godfather".  Shoebat states that the latest discoveries "include but are not limited to "[p]roof that Hillary Clinton's Deputy Chief of Staff, Huma Abedin served on the Board of IMMA from at least 12/02/02 - 9/24/08" and that "Al-Qaeda Godfather Abdullah Omar Naseef served on IMMA's Advisory Board from at least 12/02/02 - 12/03/03."

Is this not sufficient to vindicate Michele Bachmann's very reasonable concerns?

Besides extensively citing all of Huma Abedin's family connections to the Muslim Brotherhood and Muslim Sisterhood, Shoebat maintains that "[n]either Huma Abedin, Hillary's aid [sic] or any major western media even mention what is common knowledge in the Arab circles regarding Hassan Abedin, [and] his connections or activities."  Hassan is Huma's brother.

Why the virtual silence?

Abedin's brother had a strong working relationship with Abdullah Omar Naseef and Yusuf Qaradawi.  Naseef "chaired other entities considered major security concerns for the United States and ran a charity front for terror."  There is no "six degrees of separation" among these men as has been maintained by the mainstream media.  Central to Shoebat's investigation are the overlapping ties of Abdullah Omar Naseef to a number of Muslim Brotherhood offshoots.  One such group WAMY or World Assembly of Muslim Youth maintains that "[t]he Jews are humanity's enemies: they foment immorality in this world."

Saleha Abedin, Huma's mother, through the Sisterhood branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, works to advance the Brotherhood agendas against Western interests and policies.  In his report, Shoebat shows the interlocking tentacles among various Muslim Brotherhood members which leave "no doubt that the Muslim Brotherhood is the author and the one setting policies and standards for the International Islamic Committee for Woman and Child (IICWC), which Saleha Abedin chairs.  IICWC's 'official policies include marital rape, child marriage, female genital circumcision and polygamy.'"

Yet, Senator John McCain "lambastes five members of the House who are actually serious about addressing threats that the Brotherhood poses to American interests" and Rep. Keith Ellison's indignation toward Bachmann is rather hypocritical considering his own ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

In 2010, Huma arranged for Secretary of State Clinton to speak alongside her mother, Saleha at Dar Al-Hikma.  In fact, the "Saudi newspaper Al-Watan mentions that Abedin's relationship with Huma was key to bringing Clinton to Dar Al-Hikma.  Most revealing is that in 2010, and from 2006-2008, evidence shows that the Abedin membership in IMMA was as a family.  According to Arab sources, IMMA or the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs was founded by Abdullah Omar Naseef, and the Abedins were entrusted with leading IMMA.   Saleha, Huma, and Hassan Abedin all appeared as members together.  Although Huma's name seems to have been scrubbed, Shoebat has a screen shot that clearly shows that Huma worked and partnered together with her family at IMMA.

Central to the controversy surrounding Huma Abedin is the notion of muruna which, in the Islamic world, is permitting behavior normally shunned by sharia law just as long as it benefits the long term goal of ensuring a global caliphate. It is a means of mollifying Westerners who think that they are now seeing a more moderate version of Islam but in effect it is a ruse. Thus, even though Huma Abedin is a practicing Muslim married to a Jew, neither her mother nor brother denounced this marriage...  Read more>>Blog: Proof that Huma Abedin Has Muslim Brotherhood Connections

US Presidents Betray the American People because Both Political Parties Have the Same Boss, and It's Not You

We're told it's for "national security" reasons. The people say nay, the cover-ups are to conceal Treason.

1st pub. by CV 09.11.2013

Addendum: Before ISIS even surfaced publicly this Arabian article from Alalam was written pointing out Bandar not only pulled the strings for Al-Qaeda, but ISIS(L) as well.

I for one have found this report the most complete and credible account of the US war on Syria. If foreigners and friends abroad find our government guilty of "despicable posturing" then anyone that can hear and read, is not still watching TV with rabbit ear antennas, then must concur.

Worse, the entire world is seeing our senators and congressmen on stage in the greatest display of political buffoonery, lying, 'Me Firster' behavior, and just plain immoral. All of which reflects on YOU, the People.

Kind of leaves any thinking person wondering whose tail is wagging our dog, eh? Furthermore, the big stink is where has our congress been during these entire periods of torment.

Is Saudi Prince Bandar really behind Syria chemical attacks

Tuesday, September 10, 2013 9:52 PM

Former President Reagan greeting Prince Bandar bin Sultan
A report by Dale Gavlak, has collected the testimonies of witnesses who say that “certain rebels received chemical weapons via the Saudi intelligence chief, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, and were responsible for carrying out the gas attack.”

Nothing the US claims about what happened in Syria adds up. We are being asked to believe an illogical story, when it is much more likely that it was Israel and Saudi Arabia who enabled the Obama Administration to threaten Syria with war.

The Obama Administration’s intelligence report on Syria was a rehash of Iraq. “There are lots of things that aren’t spelled out” in the four-page document, according to Richard Guthrie, the former project head of the Chemical and Biological Warfare Project of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. One piece of evidence is the alleged interception of Syrian government communications, but no transcripts were provided.

Just as with the Obama Administration’s speeches which all fall short of conclusively confirming what happened, nothing was categorically confirmed in the intelligence report. Actually it comes across more as a superficial college or university student’s paper put together by wordsmiths instead of genuine experts on the subject.

Going in a circle, the report even depends on “unnamed” social media and accounts as sources of evidence or data. Lacking transparency, it states that “there are accounts from international and Syrian medical personnel, videos, witness accounts, thousands of social media reports from at least 12 different locations in the Damascus area, journalist accounts and reports from highly credible non-governmental organizations.”

Chances are that these unnamed sources are actually foreign-funded insurgents, Israeli media, Saudi media, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights – which includes fighters in the ranks of the insurgency and salutes Saudi Arabia as a model democracy – or the NGO Doctors Without Borders. These are the same sources that have been supporting the insurgency and pushing for regime change and military intervention in Syria.

Moreover, one of the main sources of the intelligence and communication interceptions that are supposed to be a smoking gun is none other than Israel, which is notorious for doctoring and falsifying evidence.

The US intelligence report also claims to have advanced knowledge about the plans to launch a chemical weapons attack several days before it happened. A leading expert on chemical weapons, Jean Pascal Zanders, who until recently was a senior research fellow at the European Union’s Institute for Security Studies, asks why the US government did not tell the world about it and issue warnings about a chemical attack at that time.

An Israeli-Saudi-US conspiracy?
The US-supported anti-government forces fighting inside Syria are the ones that have a track record of using chemical weapons. Yet, Obama and company have said nothing.

Despite the anti-government forces accusations that the Syrian military launched a chemical weapon attack on Homs at Christmas in December 2012, CNN reported that the US military was training anti-government fighters with the securing and handling of chemical weapons. Under the name of the Destructive Wind Chemical Battalion, the insurgents themselves even threatened to use nerve gas and released a video where they killed rabbits as a demonstration of what they planned on doing in Syria.

According to the French newspaper Le Figaro, two brigades of anti-government fighters that were trained by the CIA, Israelis, Saudis, and Jordanians crossed from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan into Syria to launch an assault, respectively on August 17 and 19, 2013. The US must have invested quite a lot in training both anti-government brigades. If true, some may argue that their defeat prompted the chemical weapons attack in Damascus as a contingency plan to fall back on.

ex-CIA Director former President GHW Bush & "Bandar Bush"
However, how they came by chemical weapons is another issue, but many trails lead to Saudi Arabia. According to the British Independent, it was Saudi Prince Bandar “that first alerted Western allies to the alleged use of sarin gas by the Syrian regime in February 2013.”

Turkey would apprehend Syrian militants in its territory with sarin gas, which these terrorists planned on using inside Syria. On July 22 the insurgents would also overrun Al-Assal and kill all the witnesses as part of a cover-up.

A report by Yahya Ababneh, which was contributed to by Dale Gavlak, has collected the testimonies of witnesses who say that  “certain rebels received chemical weapons via the Saudi intelligence chief, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, and were responsible for carrying out the gas attack.”

The Mint Press News report adds an important dimension to the story, totally contradicting the claims of the US government. It quotes a female insurgent fighter who says things that make a link to Saudi Arabia clear. She says that those who provided them with weapons “didn’t tell them what these arms were or how to use them” and that they “didn’t know they were chemical weapons.” “When Saudi Prince Bandar gives such weapons to people, he must give them to those who know how to handle and use them,” she is quoted.

There is also another Saudi link in the report: “Abdel-Moneim said his son and 12 other rebels were killed inside a tunnel used to store weapons provided by a Saudi militant, known as Abu Ayesha, who was leading a fighting battalion. The father described the weapons as having a ‘tube-like structure’ while others were like a ‘huge gas bottle.’”

So it seems that the Saudis enabled the chemical attack while the Israelis provided them cover to ignite a full-scale war, or at the very least enable a bombing campaign against Damascus. Israel and Saudi Arabia have empowered the Obama Administration to threaten war on Syria.

Obama wants to change the balance of power in Syria
The moralistic language coming out of Washington is despicable posturing. The hypocrisy of the US government knows no bounds. It condemns the Syrian military for using cluster bombs while the United States sells them en masse to Saudi Arabia.

The UN inspectors entered Syria in the first place on the invitation of the government in Damascus. The Syrian government warned the UN for weeks that the anti-government militias were trying to use chemical weapons after they gained control of a chlorine factory east of Aleppo. As a precaution, the Syrian military consolidated all its chemical weapons into a handful of heavily guarded compounds to prevent the anti-government forces from reaching them. Yet, the insurgents launched a chemical weapon attack against the Syrian government’s forces in Khan Al-Assal on March 19, 2013. Turning the truth on its head, the insurgents and their foreign backers, including the US government, would try to blame the Syrian government for the chemical attack, but the UN’s investigator Carla Del Ponte would refute their claims as false in May after extensive work.

Concerning the alleged August attack the Obama Administration has been lying and contradicting itself for days. They say that traces of chemical weapons cannot be eliminated, but that the Syrian government destroyed that same evidence that cannot be eradicated. They want an investigation, but say they already have all the answers.

The claims that the Syrian government used chemical weapons in the suburb of Ghouta defy logic. Why would the Syrian government unnecessarily use chemical weapons in an area that it controls and shoot itself in the foot by presenting the US and its allies with a pretext to intervene? And of all the days it could unnecessarily use chemical weapons, the Obama administration wants us to believe that the Syrian government picked the day when United Nation inspectors arrived in Damascus.

Even the biased and misleading state-run British Broadcasting Corporation admitted that there was something strange about the event. The BBC’s  own “Middle East Editor Jeremy Bowen says many will ask why the [Syrian] government would want to use such weapons at a time when [United Nations] inspectors are in the country and the military has been doing well militarily in the area around Damascus.”

The US is deliberately pointing the finger for the use of chemical weapons at the Syrian government.

American officials have a track record of lying to start wars against other countries. This has been the consistent modus operandi of the US from Vietnam to Yugoslavia, and from Iraq to Libya.

It is not Syria that is going against the international community, but the warmongers in Washington, which include the Obama Administration.

Washington is threatening to attack Syria as a means of prolonging the fighting inside Syria. The US government also wants to have a stronger hand in the country’s future negotiations by restoring the balance of power between the Syrian government and America’s anti-government insurgent allies, thus weakening the Syrian military and ending its winning momentum against the insurgency. If not softening Damascus up for the insurgents, America wants to level the equation and undermine the Syrian government before a final negotiation takes place.

Now is the time for the “responsibility to prevent war”—the real R2P—to come into play.

ISIS is America's Dream Rebel Army

US policy paper reveals desire for construction of full-scale extraterritorial army to invade Syria. Such an army is being built in Iraq and Turkey and it's called "ISIS."

November 10, 2014 (Tony Cartalucci - NEO) - The corporate-financier funded and directed policy think tank, the Brookings Institution, has served as one of several prominent forums documenting and disseminating US foreign policy. It would host in part the architects of the so-called "surge" during the nearly decade-spanning US occupation of Iraq, as well as battle plans for waging a covert war against Iran now well under way.

Part of this covert war against Iran involved the arming and backing of listed terrorist groups, and in particular, the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq (MEK) which has killed US servicemen, American civilians, as well as countless innocent Iranians over the decades. Among those signing their name to this plan found within Brookings' "Which Path to Persia?" report, was Kenneth Pollack. Now, in efforts to overthrow the government of Syria, also a stated and integral part of undermining, isolating, and destroying Iran, Pollack has revealed another element of the plan - to create a full-scale proxy military force outside of Syria, then subsequently invading and occupying Syria with it.

In the report titled, "Building a Better Syrian Opposition Army: How and Why," Pollack cites the so-called "Islamic State" or "ISIS" as the ultimate impetus for expanded US intervention. However, upon looking at Pollack's proposal, it merely looks as if the US is using ISIS as a pretext to more overtly intervene in order to overthrow the government of Syria - not in fact neutralize ISIS.

After a considerable preamble assuring readers that the aim of creating a "better Syrian opposition army" would exclude sectarian extremists and result in the same "success" the US had in training the Iraqi army, the document explains:

...building a new Syrian army is best not done in Syria itself. At least not at first. The program would need the time and sanctuary to perform the necessary training, reorganization, sorting  and  socialization  into  a  new  Syrian  army  without the distractions and pressures of Syria itself.  The  Saudi  offer  to  provide  facilities  to  train 10,000 Syrian opposition fighters is one of reasonable possibility, although one of Syria’s neighbors would probably be preferable. Jordan already serves as  training  ground  for  America’s  current  training program and it would be an ideal locale to build a real Syrian army. However, Turkey could also conceivably serve that purpose if the Turks were willing.

Clearly, not only is this already being done as admitted by Pollack himself, it is being done on a scale already eclipsing Pollack's alleged plan - the only difference is it is being done through the use of sectarian extremists - not the imaginary, nonexistent secular professionals Pollack uses as a marketing gimmick to sell this scheme.

More tellingly, Pollack's plan continues by stating (emphasis added):
In addition to being armed, trained and officered like a conventional military, a new Syrian army would also have to be equipped like one. That would mean not just small arms and crew-served weapons, such as the United States and its allies are already providing, but heavy weapons and logistical support. Like the Croats and Bosniaks, a new Syrian army will need the wherewithal to defeat both the regime and the Islamist extremists. That will require tanks, armored personnel carriers, artillery, surface-to-air missiles and the like to match the regime’s own heavy weapons—and so eliminate the firepower imbalance that the regime’s forces have employed to such advantage so far.

Surely, Pollack's plan will never materialize in any practical dimension - however it may be possible to use such a marketing ploy to pour more resources into both the ongoing proxy war against Syria and Iran in general, and more specifically into the terrorist battalions already being armed, funded, trained, equipped, and sent off from Jordan and Turkey into Syrian territory. Handing advanced weapon systems into the hands of front groups consisting of intentionally ineffectual, immensely corrupt, incompetent US proxies is as good as handing the weapons directly to ISIS - and of course - this is precisely how the US is building its actual "new opposition army" - namely, in the form of ISIS itself.

Syrian rebel commander says he collaborated with Israel

Much is now being claimed from diverse sources that not only Israel, but US funding as well is behind the sponsorship of the terrorist ISIS. The Times of Israel even has claimants alleging as Syrian rebels they are collaborating with Israel to terrorize Syria.

Sharif as-Safouri, abducted by Al-Nusra Front in July, confesses to receiving antitank weapons in return for protecting the border

A Free Syrian Army commander, arrested last month by the Islamist militia Al-Nusra Front, told his captors he collaborated with Israel in return for medical and military support, in a video released this week.

In a video uploaded to YouTube Monday by the Executive Sharia Council in the eastern Daraa Region, an Islamic court established by Al-Nusra in southern Syria, Sharif As-Safouri, the commander of the Free Syrian Army's Al-Haramein Battalion, admitted to having entered Israel five times to meet with Israeli officers who later provided him with Soviet anti-tank weapons and light arms. Safouri was abducted by the al-Qaeda-affiliated Al-Nusra Front in the Quneitra area, near the Israeli border, on July 22.

"The [opposition] factions would receive support and send the injured in [to Israel] on condition that the Israeli fence area is secured. No person was allowed to come near the fence without prior coordination with Israel authorities," Safouri said in the video.

Israel has never admitted to arming moderate Syrian rebels, who have been engaged in battle against the Assad regime and its allies since March 2011. In June, Brig. Gen. Itai Brun, head of Military Intelligence research, told the Herzliya Conference that 80 percent of Syria's oppositionists are Islamists of various shades, indicating that Israel was reluctant to collaborate with them.

Thousands of al-Qaeda-linked rebels reached southern Syria over the past month, fleeing the Islamic State which had captured large swaths of land in northern and northeastern Syria. While Al-Nusra and the Free Syrian Army have collaborated in the battlefield against the Assad regime, friction has intensified as the Islamists began to implement their stringent version of Islam in the area, establishing local Sharia courts.

In the edited confession video, in which Safouri seems physically unharmed, he says that at first he met with an Israeli officer named Ashraf at the border and was given an Israeli cellular phone. He later met with another officer named Younis and with the two men's commander, Abu Daoud. In total, Safouri said he entered Israel five times for meetings that took place in Tiberias.

Following the meetings, Israel began providing Safouri and his men with "basic medical support and clothes" as well as weapons, which included 30 Russian [rifles], 10 RPG launchers with 47 rockets, and 48,000 5.56 millimeter bullets.

While opposition websites denied that Safouri was a collaborator, claiming his entries into Israel were for medical purposes alone, regime media celebrated Safouri's confession as proof of the Free Syrian Army's treachery. On August 1, dozens of demonstrators took to the streets of the village of Hayt, Safouri's hometown near Syria's borders with Jordan and Israel, to protest his abduction, condemning Al-Nusra Front for the act.

No Israeli comment was available at time of publication.

US Congress & State Dept Use IRS Tax Shelters to Fund Terrorist Attacks Against Foreign Nations

ISIS Uses Ammunition Made in United States - Scandal or Treason?

Still no congressional oversight from a Republican congress!

The United States is currently spending upwards of a billion dollars attacking Islamic State forces that are using ammunition made in the USA.

Conflict Armament Research picked up 1,730 empty cartridges—the part of the ammunition that stays behind when a bullet has left the gun—in northern Iraq and Syria from July 22 to August 15. Of those, 323 were identified as coming from U.S. sources, likely captured from Iraqi forces. Much of it was manufactured at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri.

China led the sources with 445 cartridges recovered and the Soviet Union had 338 recovered, one that dated from 1945. The probable source of the Soviet ammunition was the Syrian military, which was supplied for years by the U.S.S.R. The Russian Federation was responsible for 154 of the rounds.

“The lesson learned here is that the defense and security forces that have been supplied ammunition by external nations really don’t have the capacity to maintain custody of that ammunition,” James Bevan, director of Conflict Armament Research, told The New York Times.

The militants have been adept at capturing or co-opting the military supplies given to Syrian rebels supported by the Obama administration. In other cases, they have claimed ammo previously held by Iraqi and Syrian security forces.

Sometimes IS forces even choose to fight where they have a chance of resupplying. “When battling against the Syrian Army, ISIS chooses to fight in a specific battle on a specific front only when the investment is appealing: there will be warehouses to capture,” Fouad al-Ghuraibi, commander of the Kafr Owaid’s Martyrs Brigade in northern Syria, told the Times.

US Congress Controlled By AIPAC (includes list of members on AIPAC payroll) - YouTube

List of AIPAC Campaign Contributions to US Congressmen & Senators

I would also like to add the Senate, the Supreme Court, the Presidency, as well as everything else. Everyone knows it, but no one will dare say it.

Another quote (not seen in the video), "We do not question what the Israelis want." -Karen Kotowski (currently working at the Pentagon).

This is all regardless of the fact that AIPAC has committed (and plead guilty to) corporate espionage against the U.S. and that Israel has attacked American forces before, apparently.

Chuck Hagel is just the Defense Secretary we need to usher us into a Full Marxist America by end of Obama's Term

"Hey, as long as they think they're dying in defense of their country, who cares, pile it on!"
Marxist Panetta handing the baton of Subversion to Marxist Hagel. See Panetta's Marxist history
Having donned the thin veneer of a "conservative" Republican, Hagel has an unblemished record of betrayal for America's independence. His affiliations, memberships, and support from just some of these subversive organizations are touched on below. They are all profiled on other posts on this blog.

We have fallen of our own doing into the dark, dank bottom of an old abandoned well and can't get out. Who shall help America?

Chuck Hagel a Committed Internationalist

Written by  Christian Gomez

The confirmation vote for Republican former senator of Nebraska Chuck Hagel (shown) to replace outgoing Leon Panetta as secretary of defense was postponed by another week after Hagel failed to meet the expectations of his former Republican colleagues during last week's Senate confirmation hearings. Even more troubling than Sen. Hagel's performance in the hearing is his record on defense issues, as well as his questionable ties to certain organizations.

The secretary of defense is second (only to the president) in the military chain of command and directly oversees the Department of Defense and the nation’s armed forces. This makes the selection of this Cabinet-level position of the utmost importance concerning national security, thus requiring a scrupulous vetting of the nominee.

As a member of the Senate, Hagel voted in the following manner on defense issues:

• NAY on separate barracks for males and females in basic training;
• YES to kill an amendment that called for sanctions on commercial fronts of the Communist Chinese military;
• YES in support of China’s membership in the World Trade Organization;
• YES on the Strategic Offensive Reductions Treaty to reduce U.S. nuclear stockpiles in parity with Russia.

On May 14, 1998, Sen. Hagel voted to table (kill) the Hutchinson Amendment (S.Amdt.2387) to the National Defense Authorization Act of 1999. This amendment would have required the president of the United States to “compile a list of persons who are Communist Chinese military companies and who are operating directly or indirectly in the United States or any of its territories and possessions,” and to “publish the list of such persons in the Federal Register.”

The amendment would have also given the president the authority to invoke sanctions against front corporations of China’s People’s Liberation Army, which is the military arm of Communist Party of China. Although the amendment and bill passed the Senate, it was subsequently referred to the House Committee on National Security, where no action was taken on it, and thus it failed to pass Congress.

In addition to his voting record above, in 2000, Senator Hagel endorsed President Bill Clinton’s decision to “not deploy a limited national missile defense system.” Hagel explained that missile defense “must move forward on four parallel tracks — technology, Congress, our allies, and the Russians.”

While Hagel believes that a U.S. missile defense system should only be deployed with the cooperation of Russia, he does not consider such cooperation from Russia as important when it comes to reducing nuclear weapons. He has called for “sharply reducing the number of U.S. nuclear weapons, possibly without equivalent cuts by Russia,” according to the

Hagel is also an advocate of the complete elimination of all nuclear weapons from the face the planet and has worked with Global Zero, an organization dedicated to the same goal. If confirmed, Hagel would be the first incoming Secretary of Defense to be on record calling for the reduction and eventual abolition of the U.S. nuclear stockpile.

Hagel’s soft stance on Communist China and Russia and advocacy for total nuclear disarmament has earned him recent words of praise from the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). The CPUSA’s official newspaper People’s World described Hagel as one who does “represent the more sober elements who have called in our national discourse for rejection of the old cold war tactics, the unilateralism and the continual push for wars all over the world.”

Joe Wendlend, the editor of the CPUSA’s theoretical journal Political Affairs, described Hagel as a “real Republican maverick,” in an article published on June 2, 2008. Past issues of Political Affairs have touted Hagel, along with some Democratic senators, for opposing the Iraq War and supporting immigration reform, or amnesty.

Phyllis Bennis, of the Washington, D.C.-based Institute for Policy Studies, wrote an article for The Nation magazine, published online on January 8, 2013, entitled “Will Chuck Hagel’s Appointment Actually Help the Anti-War Left?”
While acknowledging Hagel as a “conservative Republican,” Bennis wrote, “At the end of the day, this isn’t about Hagel versus anybody. This is about what President Obama is signaling by his nomination of Hagel as Secretary of Defense.” She further explained, “Obama is not prepared to allow either the pro-Israeli lobbies or the hard-core neoconservatives, in and outside of Washington, to determine whom he could and could not choose as Secretary of Defense.”

Bennis went on to applaud Hagel for his past remarks about the defense budget. “And then there’s the Pentagon budget. Hagel has called it 'bloated,' pretty amazing for a future Secretary of Defense.… [A] Pentagon chief who actually believes his agency’s budget should be cut — that’s new.” Her endorsement of Hagel concluded:

Standing to the left of President Obama’s center-right military policy is not a very high bar. But again — standing up to AIPAC, the defense industry (and members of Congress accountable to them) and the still-powerful neocons makes the Hagel appointment a good move for Obama. And it gives the rest of us a basis to push much farther to end the wars, to close the bases, to cut the Pentagon funding, to tax the military profiteers.

This Institute for Policy Studies’ endorsement of Hagel is significant, considering that Secretary Panetta also had ties with the IPS during his early years in Congress. It should be noted that during the Cold War era, both the IPS and the Communist Party USA acted as front organizations for the KGB and the Soviet Union. Even today, the IPS continues to work with Marxists within the United States to bring about their desired brand of social changes.

Phyllis Bennis also carries communist affiliations of her own. She was a former member of the pro-Soviet Line of March, which was an “Oakland based Maoist organization founded in 1970,” according to KeyWiki’s online database of communists, socialists, and Marxist subversives. In 2008, Bennis was voted to the steering committee of United for Peace and Justice, where she worked alongside CPUSA leaders Judith LeBlanc and Libero Della Piana.

United for Peace and Justice is also listed on the IPS website as one of its “Partner Organizations.” Another IPS “Partner Organization” of note is the George Soros-funded Ploughshares Fund, which has Chuck Hagel as a board member. Hagel shares membership on the Ploughshares board with:

• John Hoyt, who also serves on the Organizers’ Forum Board of the Democratic Socialists of America-run magazine Social Policy;
• Cynthia Ryan, who has also served on the board of self-admitted communist Van Jones’ Green for All.
• Kennette Benedict, the executive director and publisher of the leftist anti-military Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists;
• David Holloway, former member of the Board of Editors for the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

On January 9, 2013, the Ploughshares Fund applauded and congratulated President Obama’s decision to nominate Hagel as defense secretary. The Ploughshares Fund, like Global Zero and the IPS, also advocates vast cuts to military defense spending and the reduction of U.S. nuclear weapons, without an adequate missile defense system in place to defend the country from potential ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) attack.

In addition to sitting on the board of the Ploughshares Fund, Hagel is also the chairman of the Atlantic Council. In its early years, according to the Atlantic Council's website, it worked with various luminaries from the one-world-government-promoting Council of Foreign Relations (CFR), such as Secretaries of State Dean Acheson, Dean Rusk, and Lucius Clay. It should also be noted that Hagel is also a member of the CFR, according to the 2012 CFR membership roster.

Since its founding in 1961, the Atlantic Council has worked toward greater interconnectivity and cooperation with Europe when dealing with issues of global concern. Today, the Atlantic Council works to deepen the relationship between the United States and the European Union on global matters.

In 2011, Hagel wrote an article entitled “Defining A New World Order” that appeared on the Atlantic Council's website. In the article, Hagel discusses the limitations of U.S. foreign policy and the need to engage foreign nations through diplomacy in order to advance the growth of democracy abroad. Concerning Egypt, Hagel wrote, “Continued long-standing U.S.-Egyptian military-to-military relationships will be vital to U.S. policy and Egypt's democratic transition.”

Hagel's article, in accordance with the Atlantic Council, does not consider American exceptionalism as a factor in world events, but rather views the United States as a leading partner among other states in the promotion of world democracy. It is Wilsonian in its tone and reveals the former senator's internationalist worldview, which is alarming considering that he may in fact take charge of the U.S. armed forces and policy planning at the Pentagon.
As an internationalist, Hagel is deeply committed to the goals, success, and expansion of the United Nations. In his 2008 book America: Our Next Chapter, Hagel wrote:

The United Nations can play a central and critical role in forging connections. The global challenges of terrorism, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, hunger, disease, and poverty require multilateral responses and initiatives. The United States should therefore take every opportunity to help strengthen global institutions and alliances, including the UN.... No international conflict is simple or easy to deal with, but each requires attention and the United Nations is the only international organization that can help bring the consensus that is indispensable in finding solutions and resolving crises.

In a recent written response to whether he supported U.S. contributions to UN peacekeeping missions, Hagel stated:

I support in principle additional contributions of U.S. military personnel to key positions in UN peacekeeping operations where the mission is a strategic priority for the Department and the United States and where our servicemembers can add significant value to the mission effectiveness and efficiencies.

Hagel went on to clarify that he would likely look to increase the number of U.S. personnel participating in UN peacekeeping efforts overseas:

The success of UN peacekeeping operations is important to the United States. I believe that the U.S. should continue to provide military personnel to UN peacekeeping operations, especially for key staff positions that help shape the direction and success of the mission. Such support must be practicable and weighed against the potential costs and competing demands for military commitments. If confirmed, I will carefully evaluate the costs of requested UN support against the potential positive impacts and U.S. interests.

A Hagel Defense Department would likely be one dedicated to fundamentally transforming the U.S. armed forces from focusing on military defense to one of increased nation-building and UN peacekeeping operations, in order to make the world “safe for democracy” — as President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed in 1917 — while also pursuing greater flexibility toward Russia in U.S. nuclear disarmament.  Finish reading>> The New American
