New Republican Senate Intelligence Chairman Wants to Bury CIA Torture Reports

You already know what we will confirm: This bloke would never have been awarded a chairmanship had the Republican congressional syndicate not already believed Burr to be immoral and relied upon to do any cover-ups as instructed.

This strategy has worked its magic well for the Republican mafia, and shall do so again in the general presidential election in 2016.

New Republican Senate Intelligence Chairman Wants to Bury CIA Torture Reports

The Senate Intelligence Committee has a new chairman, and he wants to protect the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from details of its use of torture last decade on terrorism suspects.

Senator Richard Burr (R-North Carolina) sent a letter to the Obama administration demanding it return copies of the committee’s investigative report on the CIA torture program.

The report was produced under the previous chair, Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein of California, who authorized the public release of only a portion of the full report last month that revealed allegations of abuse by CIA officials and accusations that they may have lied about the effectiveness of the program. But copies of the entire 6,900-page report were delivered to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and other agencies.

In his letter, Burr requested “that all copies of the full and final report in the possession of the executive branch be returned immediately.”

Burr’s move is “apparently aimed at keeping the full version of the report from being released to the public,” according to The Washington Post. The executive branch, which received many of the report copies, is subject to Freedom of Information Act requests, while the Senate is not.

Not surprisingly, Feinstein was against the move. “I strongly disagree that the administration should relinquish copies of the full committee study, which contains far more detailed records than the public executive summary,” Feinstein said in a statement, according to The Guardian.

“Doing so would limit the ability to learn lessons from this sad chapter in America’s history and omit from the record two years of work, including changes made to the committee’s 2012 report following extensive discussion with the CIA.”

Is Government Faithful to the Constitution? by Andrew P. Napolitano

by Andrew P. Napolitano, December 18, 2014

Is Government Faithful to the Constitution?

When the government is waving at us with its right hand, so to speak, it is the government’s left hand that we should be watching. Just as a magician draws your attention to what he wants you to see so you will not observe how his trick is performed, last week presented a textbook example of public disputes masking hidden deceptions. Here is what happened.

Last week was dominated by two huge news stories. One was the revelation by the Senate Intelligence Committee of torture committed by CIA agents and contractors on 119 detainees in the post-9/11 era – 26 of whom were tortured for months by mistake. In that revelation of anguish and error were the conclusions by CIA agents themselves that their torture had not produced helpful information. President Barack Obama acknowledged that the CIA had tortured, yet he directed the Department of Justice not to prosecute those who tortured and those who authorized it.

The other substantial news story was the compromise achieved by Congress and the White House to fund the government through the end of September 2015. That legislation, which is 2,000 pages in length, was not read by anyone who voted for it. It spends a few hundred billion dollars more than the government will collect in tax revenue.

The compromise was achieved through bribery; members of Congress bought and sold votes by adding goodies (in the form of local expenditures of money borrowed by the federal government) to the bill that were never debated or independently voted upon and were added solely to achieve the votes needed for passage. This is how the federal government operates today. Both parties participate in it.

They have turned the public treasury into a public trough.

Hidden in the law that authorized the government to spend more than it will collect was a part about funding for the 16 federal civilian intelligence agencies. And hidden in that was a clause, inserted by the same Senate Intelligence Committee that revealed the CIA torture, authorizing the National Security Agency to gather and retain nonpublic data for five years and to share it with law enforcement and with foreign governments. “Nonpublic data” is the government’s language referring to the content of the emails, text messages, telephone calls, bank statements, utility bills and credit card bills of nearly every innocent person in America – including members of Congress, federal judges, public officials and law enforcement officials. I say “innocent” because the language of this legislation – which purports to make lawful the NSA spying we now all know about – makes clear that those who spy upon us needn’t have any articulable suspicion or probable cause for spying.

The need for articulable suspicion and probable cause has its origins in the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution, which was written to prohibit what Congress just authorized. That amendment was a reaction to the brutish British practice of rummaging through the homes of American colonists, looking for anything that might be illegal. It is also a codification of our natural right to privacy. It requires that if the government wants nonpublic data from our persons, houses, papers or effects, it must first present evidence of probable cause to a judge and then ask the judge for a search warrant.

Probable cause is a level of evidence that is sufficient to induce a judge into concluding that it is more likely than not that the place to be examined contains evidence of crimes. In order to seek probable cause, the government must first have an articulable suspicion about the person or place it has targeted. Were this not in the law, then nothing would stop the government from fishing expeditions in pursuit of anyone it wants to pursue. And fishing expeditions turn the presumption of liberty on its head. The presumption of liberty is based on the belief that our rights are natural to us and that we may exercise them without a permission slip from the government and without its surveillance.

Until last week, that is. Last week, Congress, by authorizing the massive NSA spying to continue and by authorizing the spies to share what they have seized with law enforcement, basically permitted the fishing expeditions that the Fourth Amendment was written to prevent.

How can the president and Congress defy the Constitution, you might ask? Hasn’t every member of the government taken an oath to uphold the Constitution? Doesn’t the Constitution create the presidency and the Congress? How can politicians purport to change it?

The answers to these questions are obvious, as is the belief of most of those in government that they can write any law and regulate any behavior and ignore the Constitution they have sworn to uphold whenever they want, so long as they can get away with it.

Israel teaches brutality to your security agencies

Posted on December 10, 2014

Early this year, in Denver (Colorado) ex-Israeli soldier Eran Efrati, explained how Israel Occupation Force (IOF) have militarized foreign law enforcement agencies in countries like the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Brazil, Turkey, Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, India, etc. “Israeli soldiers are intensely trained for a war, whilst their actual military duties are to subdue and control Palestinians,” he said. Watch video below.

Currently, every Jewish-controlled media is talking about the Senate Intelligence Committee report on CIA torture practices that includes “interrogators threatened to rape a detainee’s mother, forced others to stand on broken feet, and inserted hummus into one’s rectum“, something routinely applied on Palestinian youth by Israeli interrogators. According to Karen Greenburg, a leading American national security expert, “After 9/11 we reached out to the Israelis on many fronts and one of those fronts was torture.

The training in Iraq and Afghanistan on torture was Israeli training. There’s been a huge downside to taking our cue from the Israelis and now we’re going to spread that into the fabric of everyday American life? It’s counter-terrorism creep. And it’s exactly what you could have predicted would have happened.” Read more here.

In December 2011, American Jewish investigative reporter Max Blumenthal reported the total Israelification of US law enforcement agencies.

In the six month period from March 1, 2014 to August 31, 2014, eighty of London’s Metropolitan staff members took practical training course while watching Israeli military murdering over 2,300 civilians in Gaza including 550 children.

The British government routinely hires Israeli lobbyists to demonize British Muslims. The British government asked professor Alan Johnson, an Israeli lobbyist to write a report that examines journeys taken by young British Muslims ‘in and out of extremism’. He was also hired to develop strategies to counter so-called “radicalization” (being pro-Palestinian) among Muslim youth.

Professor Alexis Jay, another Zionist hag was the author of recent report on Pakistani/Bangladeshi Muslims involved in rapping over 1,400 British women (girlfriends and street women). In her report, Jay forgot to mention UK’s most Jewish Catholic paedophile James Savile. He was investigated for rapping nearly 400 men and boys in his BBC office.

On December 9, 2003, the UK’s Guardian reported that Israeli military officials are training US assassination squad in Iraq. “It is bonkers, insane. Here we are – we’re already being compared to Sharon in the Arab world, and we’ve just confirmed it by bringing in the Israelis and setting up assassination teams,” said a military officer at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

Protesters in Missouri yelled at police, “You gonna shoot us? Is this the Gaza Strip?” They were right to be concerned. Thousands of US law enforcement officers have trained in Israel or attended Israeli government-sponsored conferences to learn how Israel’s police and security forces prevent “terror attacks.” (Two law enforcement agencies deployed in Ferguson took courses in Israel, according to the Anti-Defamation League.) Israel can teach many lessons on how to dehumanize neighbors and crush dissent.

Sick of your double dealing local Politicians? When the Ballots are Rigged Here's One Remedy

Not recommended at home...yet. Maybe send our guilty pols to Gitmo & our CIA prisons which can utilize this treatment replacing the cruelty of waterboarding. The courts may determine if our pols are ethical and "legal", but the people decide whether they're lawful, moral or honest. Party affiliation not a consideration.

Mob throws Ukraine legislator into garbage can

Where did this happen?
The Ukraine.

Who is the guy being thrown into the trash?
Vitaly Zhuravsky.

What's the story?
He authored a bill that severely restricts anti-government protests. He also authored a bill that criminalizes criticism of government officials.

Should any human being be treated this way?

No, but if there are candidates anti-liberty politicians should get first place in line.

The Covert Origins of ISIS *vid*

Evidence exposing who put ISIS in power, and how it was done.  28.Aug.2014 | SCG

The Islamic militant group ISIS, formerly known as Al-Qaeda in Iraq, and recently rebranded as the so called Islamic State, is the stuff of nightmares. They are ruthless, fanatical, killers, on a mission, and that mission is to wipe out anyone and everyone, from any religion or belief system and to impose Shari'ah law. The mass executions, beheadings and even crucifixions that they are committing as they work towards this goal are flaunted like badges of pride, video taped and uploaded for the whole world to see. This is the new face of evil.

Would it interest you to know who helped these psychopaths rise to power? Would it interest you to know who armed them, funded them and trained them? Would it interest you to know why?

This story makes more sense if we start in the middle, so we'll begin with the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
The Libyan revolution was Obama's first major foreign intervention. It was portrayed as an extension of the Arab Spring, and NATO involvement was framed in humanitarian terms.

The fact that the CIA was actively working to help the Libyan rebels topple Gaddafi was no secret, nor were the airstrikes that Obama ordered against the Libyan government.

However, little was said about the identity or the ideological leanings of these Libyan rebels. Not surprising, considering the fact that the leader of the Libyan rebels later admitted that his fighters included Al-Qaeda linked jihadists who fought against allied troops in Iraq.

These jihadist militants from Iraq were part of what national security analysts commonly referred to as Al-Qaeda in Iraq. Remember Al-Qaeda in Iraq was ISIS before it was rebranded.

With the assistance of U.S. and NATO intelligence and air support, the Libyan rebels captured Gaddafi and summarily executed him in the street, all the while enthusiastically chanting "Allah Akbar". For many of those who had bought the official line about how these rebels were freedom fighters aiming to establish a liberal democracy in Libya, this was the beginning of the end of their illusions.

the highest standard of living of any country in Africa. This according to the U.N.'s Human Development Index rankings for 2010. However in the years following the coup, the country descended into chaos, with extremism and violence running rampant. Libya is now widely regarded as failed state (of course those who were naive enough to buy into the propaganda leading up to the war get defensive when this is said).

Now after Gaddafi was overthrown, the Libyan armories were looted, and massive quantities of weapons were sent by the Libyan rebels to Syria. The weapons, which included anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles were smuggled into Syria through Turkey, a NATO ally. The times of London reported on the arrival of the shipment on September 14th, 2012.

(Secondary confirmation in this NYT article) This was just three days after Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed by the attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi. Chris Stevens had served as the U.S. government's liaison to the Libyan rebels since April of 2011.

While a great deal media attention has focused on the fact that the State Department did not provide adequate security at the consulate, and was slow to send assistance when the attack started, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh released an article in April of 2014 which exposed a classified agreement between the CIA, Turkey and the Syrian rebels to create what was referred to as a "rat line". The "rat line" was covert network used to channel weapons and ammunition from Libya, through southern turkey and across the Syrian border. Funding was provided by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

With Stevens dead any direct U.S. involvement in that arms shipment was buried, and Washington would continue to claim that they had not sent heavy weaponry into Syria.

It was at this time that jihadist fighters from Libya began flooding into Syria as well. And not just low level militants. Many were experienced commanders who had fought in multiple theaters.

The U.S. and its allies were now fully focused on taking down Assad's government in Syria. As in Libya this regime change was to be framed in terms of human rights, and now overt support began to supplement the backdoor channels. The growing jihadist presence was swept under the rug and covered up.

However as the rebels gained strength, the reports of war crimes and atrocities that they were committing began to create a bit of a public relations problem for Washington. It then became standard policy to insist that U.S. support was only being given to what they referred to as "moderate" rebel forces.

This distinction, however, had no basis in reality.
