An ethical person - like a politician, banker or lawyer - may know right from wrong, but unlike many of them, a moral person lives it. An Americanist first already knows that.
Bankers and their government agents will always act in their own best interests. Any residual benefit flowing down to the citizens by happenstance will just be litter.
We are certainly not one to be tolerant of anti-American radicals agitating violence or terrorist acts regardless of their political philosophies.
But, the threat we see here is the unlawful trampling of our Constitution by federal law enforcement of a state's sovereignty. The elected state representatives of these three-named states, Washington, Idaho, or Oregon with their inaction violate their own sworn oaths of office. In fact, why also have the duty-obligated county sheriffs not expelled or arrested these trespassing federal agents? To us, it is a greater threat to our rule of law whereby our law enforcement entities respond as commanded by their corporate sponsors, and not to their voters' rights to protection of rights and property. Let them tell us. We need to know.
Anti-oil sands activists in the U.S. are getting visits from the FBI
Alexander Panetta
WASHINGTON — The Canadian Press
Last updated
Unexpected visitors have been dropping in on anti-oil activists in the United States — knocking on doors, calling, texting, contacting family members.
The visitors are federal agents.
Opponents of Canadian oil say they’ve been contacted by FBI investigators in several states following their involvement in protests that delayed northbound shipments of equipment to Canada’s oilsands.
A lawyer working with the protesters says he’s personally aware of a dozen people having been contacted in the northwestern U.S. and says the actual number is probably higher.
Larry Hildes says it’s been happening the last few months in Washington State, Oregon and Idaho. He says one person got a visit at work, after having already refused to answer questions.
“They appear to be interested in actions around the tarsands and the Keystone XL pipeline,” Hildes said in an interview.
“It’s always the same line: ‘We’re not doing criminal investigations, you’re not accused of any crime. But we’re trying to learn more about the movement.“’
He’s advised activists not to talk — and they mostly haven’t. That lack of communication has made it a little complicated to figure out what, exactly, the FBI is looking for.
The bureau hasn’t offered too many clues.
One agent left his name, number, and the following message in a voicemail for Helen Yost of the group Wild Idaho Rising Tide: “I work with the FBI. Could you give me a call back — I would appreciate it.”
Is anti-oilsands activity an actual focus of the FBI investigation, or is it merely incidental? The bureau won’t say.
What it will say is that it only investigates potential crimes, not political movements.
“The FBI has the authority to conduct an investigation when it has reasonable grounds to believe that an individual has engaged in criminal activity or is planning to do so,” said FBI spokeswoman Ayn Dietrich.
“This authority is based on the illegal activity, not on the individual’s political views.”
But activists say oil sands opposition appears to be the common thread among people being contacted. Police have been in touch with people from different groups, who in some cases don’t agree on much, but one thing they share is mutual participation in the so-called megaload protests.
Those are the intermittent highway blockades set up the last few years to complicate the enormous, football-field-sized shipments of processing equipment up to the oilsands.
Yost said only two people from her group participated in that anti-oil sands action — and those are the people who’ve been contacted by the FBI. She has refused to co-operate.
The other person, Herb Goodwin, was visited at home by an FBI agent and a veteran detective from the local police force in Bellingham, Wash. He said the federal agent told him: “We’re here to ask whether you’ll answer some questions for us about Deep Green Resistance.”
That group, DGR, calls itself a radical environmental movement that believes the biggest problem with the planet is human civilization itself. It proposes a shift back from agriculture to a hunter-gatherer horticultural lifestyle.
It also proposes a four-step program called decisive ecological warfare, a long-term plan calling for the sabotage and dismantling of planet-harming infrastructure.
The group has repeatedly stated that it wouldn’t participate itself in any such actions. But Lierre Keith, one of its founders, laid out the plan in a speech last year at an environmental conference at the University of Oregon.
“I would vastly prefer to wage this struggle non-violently,” Keith said. “But my blogging will not bring forth the necessary numbers. So given a realistic assessment of what we actually have, the only viable strategy left that I can see is direct attacks against infrastructure. In the plainest terms, we need to stop them.”
There was some controversy about inviting her to the conference. Other groups wanted her event cancelled because of her views on transgender people — Keith dismisses the notion that a sex change can undo someone’s gender perspective.
Hildes said the FBI tried asking people about that Oregon speech. Since Yost’s group was among those voicing opposition to DGR, she believes the FBI might be trying to sow division in the movement.
The Canadian government said it wasn’t involved in any U.S. law-enforcement effort. A spokesman said it was aware of the megaload protests, but hadn’t discussed them with any American agency.
Goodwin said he won’t stop protesting. He’s among the nearly 100,000 people who have signed a pledge to engage in civil disobedience, should the Obama administration approve the Keystone XL pipeline.
He called it a life mission to help thwart the development of the oilsands in Canada and the Bakken fields in the U.S. “If we don’t stop that stuff we’re never going to convert to alternative energies that don’t pollute the atmosphere,” he said.
Bet only a few have paid any more attention to this Child of Satan than we have.
But, here it is Europe getting its learning lessons and instructions from its big daddy in NY at 58 Pratt Street. Ordinarily, Rothschild money manager George Soros can be counted on to abort the young, but when it comes to the devil's infant, he gives it life! Brian Swint of Bloomberg News, May 7, 2007: Billionaire Plans Europe Version of Council on Foreign Relations
Billionaire investor George Soros plans to start a foreign-affairs research institute in Europe similar to the Council on Foreign Relations:
"Europe has to be interested in recreating what used to be called the West, based on the principles of international cooperation," Mr. Soros said yesterday at a conference in Oxford, England. "Out of this idea came the idea of founding a European Council on Foreign Relations."
Mr. Soros, who spent $27.5 million trying to defeat President Bush in the 2004 election, said America can't deal with global affairs on its own. If a leading Democratic presidential candidate, Senator Obama, wins the post in 2008, the U.S. may regain some of "the high ground," he said.
Mr. Soros declined to say how much money he is spending on the project. It may start by the end of this year, he said.
"Our resources are similar to the United States, but we punch pathetically below our weight," Timothy Garton Ash, a professor of European Studies at Oxford University who is helping Mr. Soros with the plans, said in an interview. "The idea is to contribute a European voice. It's still in the making."
Okay then Europe here you go. Start boning up on your own country's subversive representatives to the ECFR. Be alert to elements that weaken your sovereignties taking shape on your doorsteps. Of course, all reps, board members and staff are exclusively pro-Eurozone and its monetary unit. As in North America, personal welfare, political careers and prestige come first. An open free market competitive culture certainly can't match what these immoral souls can steal from the people. These are the chief worshipers of the root of all evil, of all time.
With North America eventually coming under control, the Amero/NAU will amalgamate with Euro/EU becoming nearly the final step in the establishment of a one-world government under their control.
CV readers aren’t shocked at this resurrection of establishing the NAU. CNN just moves it forward on the shelf positioning it for a closer reach, now imminent, for CNN’s corporatist slavemasters.
And… Heidi of Goldman Sachs, and coincidentally the wife of Ted Cruz, might just be the foundress chosen to shackle our ankles into the advancing NWO!
You can now begin to see why it's vital to our survival as sovereign nations (Mexico, US, Canada) to nullify un-Constitutional elements within the US states before this NAU wave sweeps in, adding another layer of distant government and buttressing the Treason in DC. Be brave - dare call it a Conspiracy.

Shock: CNN Editorial Calls for a North American Union
January 27, 2015
Why we need a North American Passport ... The future success of North America depends partly on how the U.S., Canada and Mexico work together ... The future of the United States lies in North America. This is not a geographic truism, but a strategic imperative. Generations of Americans, distracted by far-flung crises, have long taken our own region for granted. This must change if the 21st century is to be an American century. – CNN
Dominant Social Theme: It is very important for everyone to get together everywhere all the time.
Free-Market Analysis: Is the campaign for a North American Union officially underway with this editorial appearing in CNN?
Certainly conspiracy theorists might be justified in thinking so.
For years, more than a decade, some have suspected that powerful bureaucracies in North America – especially in Washington – might seek to combine Mexico, the US and Canada into a single super-state.
This was always greeted with howls of contempt by those in the mainstream media, especially in the liberal congregation, who knew better. There was no need, no possibility, that Canada, Mexico and the US would ever form a single trading – and perhaps political – union in the manner of the EU.
But here we go. Those derisive hoots are now drowned out by the reality of what this editorial proposes.
More:
The United States, Canada and Mexico are bound by a shared economic, environmental, demographic and cultural destiny. How we move forward together is key to our success.
In recognition of our shared destiny, the three countries should create a North American passport that would, over time, allow their citizens to travel, work, invest, learn and innovate anywhere in North America.
Work, tourist and student visas are necessities in the modern world to regulate the flow of people between sovereign states. In the North American context, much like within the European Union, our economies and societies are far more integrated than our immigration system recognizes – and a North American passport, much like the EU passport, would align our laws with reality.
Such a move would provide a dramatic break from Washington's historical negligence of its "near abroad," which stems from a rare luxury. In contrast to other major continental powers through the centuries, the United States has not had to worry much about its neighbors and devote the bulk of its military resources to protecting its borders.
... A North American passport would reflect the unique relationship and shared interests among our nations. In the face of growing competition from rising powers elsewhere in the world, simply taking our geography for granted and focusing our attention elsewhere is no longer a viable option.
One can see many dominant social themes in this editorial – and these are evident from the beginning: "The United States, Canada and Mexico are bound by a shared economic, environmental, demographic and cultural destiny."
Wait a minute. The United States, Canada and Mexico are lines on a map. These geographical regions are not bound by anything, let alone cultural destiny. Having stated this fallacious assumption, the editorial proclaims, "How we move forward is key to our success."
Why should lines on a map move "forward"? And why is moving forward the key to success for arbitrary geographical regions? This is simply language jumbled together to sound like a logical argument.
The editorial gets even worse, building on this nonsensical rhetoric to rewrite history in order to make a closing argument that the three governments in question ought to offer a single passport.
In making this argument, the editorial cites NAFTA, which it claims has been "a boon to our growth and competitiveness ..."
It continues: "But the promise of NAFTA has fallen short in a critical respect; while trade and investment have grown, the barriers to movement have remained too high for the people who help drive and stand to benefit from that growth.
Now we begin to understand the importance of NAFTA. Those who wanted a North American Union understood they would need a treaty, a series of treaties, to rationalize industrialization between Mexico and the US. Once this evening-out had been accomplished, the next argument could be made, which is that regulation must follow growth.
This is a tremendously cynical way of utilizing treaties and government. One creates the conditions one wants and then moves to regulate the new reality.
US workers have remained angry over NAFTA and CAFTA, but these treaties were intended to provide the necessary justification to proclaim a larger NAU.
There are other manipulations that have taken place recently. The Bush administration and now the Obama administration have attempted to undermine US border security and to allow in as many Mexicans as possible.
US intel agencies have seemingly fueled an already violent drug war in Mexico, thus increasing pressure on Mexicans to seek employment in the US. Guns have been shipped to Mexico with US governmental complicity, apparently to heighten the violence.
The "conspiracy" lies not with those (ourselves included) who have continually pointed out the surreptitious groundwork that has been laid to build the NAU. The conspiracy lies with those internationalists that continually push to expand and unite whole continents and more.
All around the world, "unions" are being proclaimed, often with the potential for new currencies. Surely, those who have as their goal a kind of hyper-globalism are the real conspirators here.
It's been awhile since our jailers have brought up the Amero. Somewhat more commentary on the SPP. But, anyway, it's not dead just comatose until needed while some more global housecleaning is ongoing by the NWO.
January 2015 The latest concern about proposed new North American
Union currency (the "amero") was prompted by a major worldwide U.S.
dollar sell-off which will soon accelerate as the U.S. prints trillions
for bank bailouts.
Recently the dollar fell below the Canada's dollar, what's next? Will the Mexican peso surpass the dollar too? Read on to find out... The idea of a North American Union connecting Canada,
the United States and Mexico into a super-regional political/economic
entity has already sparked a firestorm of public concern. "The Security and Prosperity Partnership is not just
unconstitutional, but an act of treason committed at the highest levels,
one that must be stopped before the U.S.A., as a free and sovereign
nation fades into history," says Dr. Jerome Corsi.
While the mass media has ignored, laughed-off, or even ridiculed the
negative impact of the dollar’s slide over the last five years,
Americans are now growing concerned about the dollar's future.
Especially when a prominent London investment banker urges CNBC viewers
to move away from the dollar toward a new North American currency such
as the "Amero".
"New World Financial Order" summit
The United States hosted a summit of the G-20 leaders to discuss the
underlying causes of the credit crisis and start developing principles
of global reform for financial regulators and institutions.
"France’s president Nicholas Sarkozy is trying to organize a New World
Financial Order... based on something other than the dollar. Perhaps the
biggest delusion of the financial world now is that the dollar... and
dollar-based Treasury obligations... are a safe refuge. In an emergency,
the government can always just print up the money. But that’s the
problem. An emergency is coming," reports Daily Reckoning.
"Asian and European countries should banish the U.S. dollar from their
direct trade relations, relying only on their own currencies, said a
front-page commentary in the People's Daily. A meeting between Asian and
European leaders in Beijing presents the perfect opportunity to begin
building a new international financial order," reports Reuters.
"This crisis is global in reach -- and addressing it will require
agreeing on common principles to reform regulators which is essential to
preventing another disaster," President Bush recently announced.
Question: How can the nations of the world agree on "common principles
to reform" given the wide diversity of worldviews each nation
represents? This global credit meltdown is pushing the U.S. toward an
"New Financial World Order" which seeks to replace free market
principles with socialistic principles.
Americans fear supra-national government, as did our Founders
What might a national currency debasement do to your net worth, already
shrinking due to declining home prices, a stock market meltdown and a
rising cost of living?
According to a recent Merrill Lynch note to clients: “We’re in the beginnings of a global readjustment that will end the
dollar’s dominance as the “gold standard” currency for the world’s
economies. The dollar is likely entering a long, slow decline - followed
by a crash," reports Financial Times.
Forbes magazine reports:
"Strong Dollar, Strong Currency" is more than a mantra... economic
history indicates that no country has ever achieved greatness nor
maintained it by debasing its currency."
The problem with modern money is that it does not constitute a store of value.
The only two assets that are money, and cannot fail during a credit
crisis, are silver and gold. All fiat currencies eventually collapse
because they do not constitute a store of value.
According to Swiss America CEO Craig R. Smith: "One major reason
for the dollars systematic decline is our snowballing debts and
deficits. Today the U.S. borrows $2.5b a day from other nations!
Devaluing the dollar is one of the ways the financial markets correct
our rising U.S. debt and deficits."
The truth is, government at all levels (as well as individuals) must begin to get debt under control
before we can ever expect the value of the dollar to strengthen
substantially. In the meantime, Mr. Smith advises converting some
dollars into "anti-dollars" -- gold -- while prices are still
reasonable. Smart investors are diversifying out of dollars and into
gold -- a trend experts expect to continue for many years.

The biggest threat to Canada’s national security is internal.
It is the offshoot of an extraordinarily successful—because it remains
largely undetected—coup that imposed itself on the country with the
federal election of the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) in 2006, and
solidified its impacts with the election of a Conservative majority in
2011.
Author, poet, academic, and former Canadian diplomat Prof. Peter Dale Scott
recently disclosed a WikiLeaks cable indicating that the International
Republican Institute (IRI), an off-shoot of the CIA, and a subsidiary of
the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) helped install Stephen Harper as Canada’s Prime Minister. This was the coup.
Point 12 of the cable explains that “In
addition to the campaign schools, IRI will be bringing in consultants
who specialize in party renovation to discuss case studies of political
parties in Germany, Spain, and Canada which successfully carried out the
process.”
The “party renovation” referenced in the cable is the “renovation” of
Canada’s indigenous Progressive Conservative Party into a
Republican-inspired Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) that is largely
subservient to the U.S Empire south of the border.
A similar, but more violent, “renovation” process occurred in 2009
when the democratically-elected government of Manuel Zelaya was
overthrown in a U.S-orchestrated coup.
It is also the same illegal “renovation” that is destabilizing
Venezuela today, as the US interferes in the internal politics of that
country, in what is often described as a “soft coup”.
Dr. Anthony James Hall, Professor of Globalization Studies at the
University of Lethbridge, Alberta Canada, explains the genesis of the
Harper Conservative assault on the “Red Tory” traditions of Canada’s
indigenous conservative party in Flanagan’s Last Stand? : ” The assault by the Harper-Flanagan juggernaut on the generally
friendly orientation of Canadian conservatism towards the state, towards
Indigenous peoples, and towards the institutions of Crown sovereignty
helped clear aside obstacles to the importation from United States of
the Republican Party’s jihad on managed capitalism. Flanagan and Harper
took charge of the Canadian version of the Reagan Revolution aimed at
transforming the social welfare state into the stock market state.”
The implications of this conservative “jihad” are a threat to our
national security on many levels. Stephen Harper’s attacks on Canada’s knowledge base
are foundational to what can only be described as an endorsement of
man-made climate change, which is likely the foremost threat to both
humanity and to Canada. The Fifth Assessment Report of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)
stresses the urgency to act now to mitigate catastrophic climate
change, and yet the Harper government is moving Canada in the opposite
direction. Most recently, the Harper government ratified a
bilateral agreement with China, the Foreign Investment Promotion and
Protection Agreement (FIPPA), which all but guarantees further expansion
of Canada’s Tar Sands, and an expansion of its carbon economy.
Canada’s warmongering also bodes poorly for our collective security.
The Conservative government has exploited the collective shock of the murder of Corporal Cirillo at Ottawa’s National War Monument,
and the subsequent shoot-out at the House of Commons, by falsely
conflating the tragedy with “Islamic terrorism” and by using it as a
pretext to wage illegal warfare against ISIS. Many Canadians, including
Cpl. Nathan Cirillo’s girlfriend,
argue that we should be addressing the tragedy by improving Canada’s
capacity to provide mental health care for all of its citizens, yet that
is not part of the Harper government’s longstanding agenda.
Instead of working to stop the flow of money and arms to proxy
mercenary armies—that are for the most part allied with the West to
illegally topple the government of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad—Canada
has instead chosen to use military options, all but guaranteeing
prolonged and deadly warfare which will exact a horrendous toll on
innocent civilians.
This militarism will likely be a threat to Canada’s security as well,
since Canada will increasingly be associated with war crimes and
imperial hegemony abroad, rather than peace-keeping.
The largely undetected coup, as revealed by the WikiLeaks cable, goes
a long way towards explaining Canada’s current predicament.
This secret
intervention in Canada’s political landscape will continue to undermine
our country’s prosperity and security, unless we become more conscious
of its insidious impacts and choose instead trajectories towards peace
and national security. The foundational (though suppressed) evidence is
shouting that we’re on the wrong course, and that we need to make
changes fast.

The
Canadian Government Offers "Bail-In" Regime, Prepares For The
Confiscation Of Bank Deposits To Bail Out Banks. Posted by Charleston
Voice. Submitted by Reggie Middleton on 03/30/2013. Continuing my series
of ...
Behind the veneer of "all is well" being promoted by both world Governments and the Mainstream Media, the political elite have begun implementing legislation that will permit them to freeze accounts and use your savings to prop up insolvent banks.
This is not conspiracy theory or some kind of doom and gloom. It's basic fact.
When a Cyprus bank went bust in 2013, the Government SEIZED 40% of ALL SAVINGS DEPOSITS OVER €100,000.
Here's the timeline:
· June 25, 2012: Cyprus formally requests a bailout from the EU.
· November 24, 2012: Cyprus announces it has reached an agreement with the EU the bailout process once Cyprus banks are examined by EU officials (ballpark estimate of capital needed is €17.5 billion).
· February 25, 2013: Democratic Rally candidate Nicos Anastasiades wins Cypriot election defeating his opponent, an anti-austerity Communist.
The initial stage of this took over six months to develop. But once things got hairy, the seizure took place over the course of ONE WEEKEND.
· March 16 2013: Cyprus announces the terms of its bail-in: a 6.75% confiscation of accounts under €100,000 and 9.9% for accounts larger than €100,000… a bank holiday is announced.
· March 17 2013: emergency session of Parliament to vote on bailout/bail-in is postponed.
· March 18 2013: Bank holiday extended until March 21 2013.
· March 19 2013: Cyprus parliament rejects bail-in bill.
· March 20 2013: Bank holiday extended until March 26 2013.
· March 24 2013: Cash limits of €100 in withdrawals begin for largest banks in Cyprus.
· March 25 2013: Bail-in deal agreed upon. Those depositors with over €100,000 either lose 40% of their money (Bank of Cyprus) or lose 60% (Laiki).
The most important thing I want you to focus on is the speed of these events once things hit the fan. Cypriot banks formally requested a bailout back in June 2012. The bailout talks took months to perform. And then the entire system came unhinged in one weekend.
One weekend. The process was not gradual. It was sudden and it was total: once it began in earnest, the banks were closed and you couldn't get your money out (more on this in a moment).
Cyprus is not some freak occurrence that could never happen anywhere else. The IMF has suggested to Governments around the world that they do the same (meaning STEAL deposits).
Again, this is not conspiracy theory. Germany just passed legislation that would permit PRECISELY this.
BERLIN--Germany's cabinet Wednesday approved plans to force creditors into propping up struggling banks beginning in 2015, one year earlier than required under European-wide plans that set rules for failing financial institutions.
The new bail-in rules are part of a package of German legislation on the European banking union--an ambitious project to centralize bank supervision in the euro zone and, when banks fail, to organize their rescue or winding-up at a European level.
Germany "leads the way" in Europe by implementing European rules quickly and "creates instruments that allow the winding-down of big systemically relevant institutions without putting the financial stability at risk," the country's finance ministry said in its draft bill seen by The Wall Street Journal.
So… Germany is "leading the way" in promoting plans to do a "bail-in." What is a "bail-in"? A "bail-in" is when bank accounts are frozen and then seized in order to prop up the bank… a "bail-in" is what happened in Cyprus. It is when savings are STOLEN.
The explanation given to those with money in the bank?
In common speak, "you can either give us 40% of your savings to keep the bank afloat or the bank collapses and you're left with NOTHING."
We also want to point out that the above article indicates Germany moved to implement this a year early in 2015 instead of waiting until 2016.
Quick question…
Why would Germany want to rush in legislation that would allow it to freeze bank accounts and seize assets to prop up bankrupt financial institutions? Is it because everything is fine in Europe?
If you think this couldn't happen elsewhere you are wrong. Canada, New Zealand and even the UK and US have proposed similar measures. The next time stuff hits the fan, savings will be on the hook, not the Central Banks.

In
1968 the government of Canada decided to openly admit Americans seeking to
avoid being drafted into the US war on Vietnam. Before, would-be immigrants
were technically required to prove that they had been discharged from US
military service. This move made it easier for Americans to escape President
Johnson’s war machine by heading north.
Although
a founding member of NATO, Canada did not join the United States in its war
against Vietnam. The Canadian government did not see a conflict 7,000 miles
away as vital to Canada’s national interest so Canada pursued its own foreign
policy course, independent of the United States.
How
the world has changed. Canada’s wise caution about military adventurism even at
the height of the Cold War has given way to a Canada of the 21st century
literally joined at Washington’s hip and eager to participate in any bombing
mission initiated by the D.C. interventionists.
Considering
Canada’s peaceful past, the interventionist Canada that has emerged at the end
of the Cold War is a genuine disappointment. Who would doubt that today’s
Canada would, should a draft be reinstated in the US, send each and every
American resister back home to face prison and worse?
Canada
has also enthusiastically joined President Obama’s latest war on Iraq and
Syria, pledging to send fighter jets to participate in the bombing of ISIS (and
likely many civilians in the process).
But
Canada’s wars abroad came back home to Canada last week. Though
horrific, it should not be a complete surprise that Canada found itself hit by
blowback last week, as two attacks on Canadian soil left two Canadian military
members dead.
Greenwald
again points out what few dare to say about the attacks: Regardless
of one’s views on the justifiability of Canada’s lengthy military actions, it’s
not the slightest bit surprising or difficult to understand why people who
identify with those on the other end of Canadian bombs and bullets would decide
to attack the military responsible for that violence.
That
is the danger of intervention in other people’s wars thousands of miles away.
Those at the other end of foreign bombs – and their surviving family members or
anyone who sympathizes with them – have great incentive to seek revenge. This
feeling should not be that difficult to understand.
Seeking
to understand the motivation of a criminal does not mean that the crime is
justified, however. We can still condemn and be appalled by the attacks while
realizing that we need to understand the causation and motivation. This is
common sense in other criminal matters, but it seems to not apply to attacks
such as we saw in Canada last week. Few dare to point out the obvious: Canada’s
aggressive foreign policy is creating enemies abroad that are making the
country more vulnerable to attack rather than safer.
Predictably,
the Canadian government is using the attacks to restrict civil liberties and
expand the surveillance state. Like the US PATRIOT Act, Canadian legislation
that had been previously proposed to give the government more authority to spy
on and aggressively interrogate its citizens has been given a shot in the arm
by last week’s attacks.
Unfortunately
Canada has unlearned the lesson of 1968: staying out of other people’s wars
makes a country more safe; following the endless war policy of its southern
neighbor opens Canada up to the ugly side of blowback.
I have this pamphlet, and had started to scan for our Canadian patriot friends, but lo 'n behold a Canadian literary freedom fighter already had! Afterall, the NAU awaits in the wings for implementation. (I have heard Alan Stang speak numerous times in the distant past)

CANADA How The Communists Took Control MANY Canadians know a lot about America. They watch American television. They read American magazines. But until a few years ago most Americans didn't know much about Canada. There was the colorful Calgary Stampede, of course. There were the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. There was Sergeant Preston - and his loyal dog,King. But that, as far as most knew, was it.

This Swiss method of voting by national referendum - popular initiative - is a fundamental difference between our representative republic and theirs ("democracy" isn't in the Constitution). Think for a minute... would you entrust the American masses to have the same comprehension of our rule of law as do the Swiss? Look at what our national referendum to vote for a president brought us, and that's your answer. Every president and duplicitous congress through patient gradualism, have usurped our individual rights guaranteed by law. Obama is no worse. He just seems that way because he's been brought in to mop-up what other traitors, each one progressively "worse", accomplished before him. Just following orders. The end is nigh. That's what you're feeling.
The Swiss should have known better than to leave their gold with a foreign custodian after WWII. Although, the American people still don't know if you don't hold it, you don't own it.
In just three months, on November 30, the Swiss will vote in a federal referendum on the future of the country's gold reserves.
The referendum has arisen through a popular initiative called 'Save our Swiss Gold.' In Switzerland, citizens can propose changes to the Swiss constitution through a mechanism called a popular initiative, even if parliament is against the proposal.
The 'Save Our Swiss Gold' initiative is set to highlight the important issue of sovereign gold reserves and who has possession and controls them. It may lead to an important debate about each country's national patrimony and their gold reserves.
The 'Save Our Swiss Gold' initiative is proposing the following:
rules to prevent the Swiss National Bank (SNB) selling any more of the country's gold reserves
to direct that the SNB must keep a minimum of 20% of its reserves in gold, and
to require that all Swiss gold must be stored in Switzerland.
This would require repatriation of Swiss gold since some of the Swiss gold reserves are stored abroad.
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) are against the proposal but were forced last year, in reaction to the popular campaign, to reveal the storage locations of the Swiss gold.
In April 2013, Thomas Jordan, SNB President, confirmed that 70% of Switzerland's gold is in Switzerland, 20% is at the Bank of England, and 10% is stored with the Bank of Canada, and that this mix of holdings had been in place for more than a decade.
Since the Swiss hold a total of 1,040 tonnes of gold reserves, this would mean that there are 104 tonnes of Swiss gold at the Bank of Canada and 208 tonnes in the Bank of England. Jordan's explanation of the foreign gold storage was that it provided "adequate regional diversification and good market access".
Since the Bank of England specialises in the custody of gold on behalf of numerous foreign central banks, it's not surprising then that the SNB stores gold at the Bank of England.
What is surprising is that the SNB still holds gold at the Bank of Canada, since the Bank of Canada is a legacy custodian of other countries' gold and appears to have stopped storing other nations sovereign gold in recent years.
When the Bank of Canada was asked earlier this year as to how many foreign central banks it acts as gold custodian for, it confirmed that it currently acts as gold custodian for only four foreign central banks, but that due to confidentiality, it was unable to disclose the identity of the national account holders.
However, its known from other sources that both the Netherlands and Sweden also hold some of their gold reserves at the Bank of Canada.
The Dutch central bank, De Nederlandsche Bank, has stated previously that most of its gold reserves are held at the Federal Reserve Bank in New York, the Bank of England, and the Bank of Canada, with less than 10% stored in the bank's own headquarters in Amsterdam.
The Swedish Riksbank has also stated recently that its gold is stored in a number of foreign locations, such as the Federal Reserve, the Bank of England but also the Bank of Canada.
The identity of the 4th foreign central that stores gold at the Bank of Canada is unclear, but it may be the Bank of England or the Federal Reserve, since both banks historically held gold accounts with the Bank of Canada.
Given that Canada sold nearly all of its own substantial gold holdings a number of years ago, it seems like an anomaly that the Bank of Canada in Ottawa is still holding gold on behalf of other countries. Most countries that had held gold in Ottawa repatriated it long ago.
Citizens of Switzerland, the Netherlands and Sweden should be concerned that some of their nation's gold is in custody with a bank that is no longer a specialist in gold custody and that did not even see fit to maintain its own gold reserves. They should also be concerned about the secrecy and lack of transparency regarding their gold.
The upcoming Swiss gold referendum will be very interesting and will highlight and focus minds on why the SNB vigorously defends the need to keep some of its gold reserves in a long forgotten vault in Ottawa.
