US military officers resort to lying and deception at all levels, finds damning official report

A damning official report claims dishonesty within the U.S. military is so endemic that everyone assumes they are being lied to at all times.

The shock report calls on officials to 'urgently confront the corrupting influence of dishonesty' within the army, warning officers have become 'ethically numb'.

The situation has become so bad, the executive summary concludes it has 'allowed leaders to espouse lofty professional values while slogging through the mire of dishonesty and deceit'.

The report's executive summary also claims 'much of the deception and dishonesty... is actually encouraged and sanctioned by the military institution'.

Report authors Leonard Wong and Stephen J. Gerras say it is often justified one of three ways: 'mission accomplishment', 'supporting the troops' or that the task or reporting requirement is unreasonable or 'dumb'.

They go onto note lying and 'adjusting the truth' is so common, military personnel who order a report do not trust its content.

The report authors, who interviewed staff at all levels in the army in order to compile the 53-page document, state: 'It appears that a peculiar situation where those requesting the information, and those supplying it know that the information is questionable.'

However, they add, personnel are 'happy to go along with the illusion all is well'.  

Concerns: Former U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel sent a memo to military leaders before he stepped down from his post asking to deal with 'unethical or morally questionable behaviour'

The report, created for the Strategic Studies Institute and U.S. Army War College Press, say comes just a week after departing Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel's final words of advice to senior military staff were to sort out 'unethical behaviour'.

According to CNN, Hagel wrote: 'The vast majority of our senior leaders are men and women who have earned the special trust and confidence afforded them by the American people.

'However, when senior leaders forfeit this trust through unprofessional, unethical or morally questionable behavior, their actions have an enormously negative effect on the profession.'

Japanese biological warfare atrocities from the 1930s through World War II. Established by Lt. General Shiro Ishii, the Unit 731 facility tested plague and other diseases on live humans, engaged in live vivisection and other horrifying experiments, and destroyed Chinese villages. Most astonishing is that Ishii and his medical murderers were given full immunity by the American government, because U.S. scientists were anxious to obtain detailed records of his biological experiments on human beings. 1996 documentary.

Harbin, Manchuria was once considered China’s “Paris of the East,” an Asian oasis of European culture in close proximity to Russia.

But in 1937, a cruel and despotic Japanese medical researcher named Shiro Ishii turned the Japanese -occupied Manchuria into a region of terror by constructing a top secret facility named Unit 731.
It was at Unit 731 that thousands of people were tortured and killed in grisly biological warfare, chemical warfare and weapon experiments.

Recently released documents show the U.S. spared Ishii and his “scientists” from war crimes trials in exchange for the horrific data they’d collected.

Ishii’s Harbin horror story first gained international attention in the mid-1980s.

A talented medical researcher in the Imperial Army, Ishii was born to a wealthy family who indulged his every whim.

Considered a thoughtful and dutiful husband and father, Ishii’s peers and colleagues described him as arrogant and selfish, with little regard for anyone he considered beneath him.


But there were two things everyone could agree on: That Ishii was brilliant and that he was obsessed with helping Japan develop a biological warfare program. A Plague Upon Humanity author Daniel Barrenblatt described Ishii as “a brash and flamboyantly corrupt man who considered himself a visionary”

“No Sense of Humanity”

 

Ishii’s biggest problem was the 1925 Geneva Protocol, an international agreement created after gas warfare killed thousands in World War I.

The agreement, which prohibited the use of gas, poison and biological weaponry, was signed by countries across the globe – including Japan. But Ishii convinced Japanese officials that biological warfare must be successful if the international community was seeking its ban.

The unscrupulous doctor wasn’t about to let something like a pesky international treaty stand in his way.

“The man had no sense of humanity,” said Sheldon Harris, author of Factories of Death: Japanese Biological Warfare 1932-1945 and the American Cover-up.

By 1936, Shiro Ishii had gained Emperor Hirohito’s approval to construct Unit 731. Hirohito’s blessing was Ishii’s dream come true.

Soon the arrogant military doctor was busy recruiting Japan’s top scientists, doctors, veterinarians and medical specialists.

While there’s been some debate regarding how much Hirohito knew about the project, most historians claim there was no way Ishii’s plan could have been hatched without Hirohito’s full knowledge.

Harbin’s “Lumber Mill”

 

In addition to building the facility, Ishii also needed to construct his cover stories.

When speaking with Japanese and international officials, Unit 731 was an “Anti-Epidemic Water Supply and Purification Bureau.”

But the story for Harbin’s residents was even more benign. The tale they were told was that the building was just a lumber mill. Using dehumanizing language that served the dual purpose of duping Harbin’s residents, facility researchers nicknamed their subjects “logs.”

Unit 731’s employees euphemistically chatted about cutting, chopping, carrying, stacking, burying and burning their “logs.” And if more “logs” were needed, Japanese secret police would sweep the streets for political protestors, scofflaws and random passersby, and send them off by train to suffer and die in Harbin.

Ishii’s Unit 731 had two goals: To efficiently develop biological weapons to use against Japan’s enemies, and to help Japanese soldiers felled by an enemy’s biological weaponry.

Some research subjects were deliberately infected so that scientists could track the effects of disease as it ravaged its victims.

Chinese nationals, Russian expats and prisoners of war were all collected for experimentation. Men, women and children – no one was spared.

War Crimes: Loosened Lips for Immunity

 

But once the war ended and Japan was under U.S. control, the victor became the vanquished.

To avoid prosecution as war criminals, Ishii and his cohorts offered to share their data with U.S. officials in exchange for protection.

Ft. Detrick scientists Edwin Hill and Joseph Victor agreed the Unit 731 scientists’ lips would loosen if an immunity deal was on the table.

Colonel Murray Saunders, a Ft. Detrick military officer tasked to uncover information about Japan’s biological warfare program concurred, recommending that General Macarthur offer Unit 731’s perpetrators immunity.

While only a limited number of U.S. documents mention Unit 731, a documented link can be made from Saunders and Macarthur all the way up to President Truman.

A 2006 document released by the National Archives entitled “Researching Japanese War Crimes: Introductory Essays” details a 1950 memo describing clemency issues related to the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal.

Ceramic bombs were developed at Unit 731 to deliver anthrax and bubonic plague.

The memo revealed that the U.S., at the time, was seeking ways to dismiss any new evidence against Japan that the Soviets might produce.

According to the Virginia-based nonprofit World Future Fund, Ishii’s Unit 731 “research” was meant to give the Japanese military an upper hand on the battlefield, but wound up benefiting the U.S. military instead.

The U.S. was secretly delighted to gain such information derived from experiments that they themselves were forbidden to perform, and even happier that the Soviets wouldn’t have access to Ishii’s results.

Protecting War Criminals for Scientific Secrets

 

A shroud of secrecy kept Japanese scientists safe from prosecution and gave the U.S. valuable information about biological weapons that they could potentially use against the Soviets, if needed.

In 2000, the U.S. Congress passed the Japanese Imperial Government Disclosure Act requiring that all Japanese documents seized by the U.S. Army be released. But these records, currently kept by the National Archives, have yet to see the light of day.

While other war criminals are typically brought to trial and then executed or imprisoned if convicted, most of Unit 731’s employees went on to lead normal lives and careers.

“By virtue, ostensibly, of their cooperation with their American conquerors, the former leadership of Unit 731 lived relatively quietly and undisturbed in the postwar period. The freedom they enjoyed stands in stark contrast to the fates of other, better known, ‘Class A’ war criminals,” writes Unit 731: Testimony author Hal Gold.

There’s speculation that Ishii’s “medical expertise” was briefly used to help the U.S. during the Korean War. But the tide turned, and alienated colleagues who couldn’t stand Ishii’s abrasive personality rejected him each time he applied for a job.

He eventually died from throat cancer in 1959 at the age of 67.

And then there were Unit 731’s victims. The World Future Fund wrote in their paper:

“Japanese Biological Warfare Atrocities and the U.S. Cover-Up” that “To this day, the victims of biological and chemical experiments in Manchuria have received neither compensation nor an apology for Japanese wrong-doing.”

New Republican Senate Intelligence Chairman Wants to Bury CIA Torture Reports

The Senate Intelligence Committee has a new chairman, and he wants to protect the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from details of its use of torture last decade on terrorism suspects.

Senator Richard Burr (R-North Carolina) sent a letter to the Obama administration demanding it return copies of the committee’s investigative report on the CIA torture program.

The report was produced under the previous chair, Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein of California, who authorized the public release of only a portion of the full report last month that revealed allegations of abuse by CIA officials and accusations that they may have lied about the effectiveness of the program. But copies of the entire 6,900-page report were delivered to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and other agencies.

In his letter, Burr requested “that all copies of the full and final report in the possession of the executive branch be returned immediately.”

Burr’s move is “apparently aimed at keeping the full version of the report from being released to the public,” according to The Washington Post. The executive branch, which received many of the report copies, is subject to Freedom of Information Act requests, while the Senate is not.

Not surprisingly, Feinstein was against the move. “I strongly disagree that the administration should relinquish copies of the full committee study, which contains far more detailed records than the public executive summary,” Feinstein said in a statement, according to The Guardian.

“Doing so would limit the ability to learn lessons from this sad chapter in America’s history and omit from the record two years of work, including changes made to the committee’s 2012 report following extensive discussion with the CIA.”

Introduction and Notes

This is a record of Hillary Clinton’s support for wars of aggression and other acts of extremism and depravity.  It contains original work, quotations, and references with citations or links. 

When crimes apply to multiple categories, explanations for individual applications are given.

In anticipation of the 2016 election, a principal reason for creating this record is to provide a clear illustration of what is put forth as the supposed "less evil" of the two available choices in the US system, and the consequences this has engendered for the international community thanks to Clinton and people like her.
 
TIME magazine is well known as a staple of support and cover for virtually all US acts of international terrorism and domination, such as the USA's 1953 illegal overthrow of Iran's democracy and US/Western seizure of virtually 100% of Iran's oil.  However, TIME balks at Hillary Clinton's record, and reports that she will almost certainly be a more dedicated militant extremist than any Republican opponent (TIME of course says this more euphemistically).   
 
At the end of the year in which Clinton left her position as Secretary of State (2013), the Obama regime's USA was voted, in a Win/Gallup poll of 65 countries around the world, as the single greatest threat to world peace, with the runner-up (Pakistan, an Islamic fundamentalist US ally) receiving three times fewer votes, and Russia receiving twelve times fewer votes:


 
This was largely due to illegal US attacks (against peace, humanity, and the environment, carried out around the world) that were co-schemed and ardently pushed for by Hillary Clinton, and ultimately demanded and perpetrated by Barack Obama.  See record herein.
 
This record is intended to inform current and potential Clinton supporters about what they are involving themselves in, and ideally prompt serious consideration and study regarding what the overall (in terms of global impact) lesser of two evils might be in 2016. 
 
However, even if Clinton supporters take her full record into account and decide she is the lesser overall evil, this record is also intended to highlight that voting is only a moment in the continuous, lifelong process necessary for democracy.  
 
Though some may honestly absorb her record and still consider Clinton the better option in 2016, the record should underscore that an arrangement in which Hillary Clinton can be considered a lesser evil and preferable option is unacceptable.  Though at this point one may feel that he or she must cast a vote for Clinton to avoid some worse fate, her record should incite caring people to devote their real efforts towards educating others about what we are actually supporting and doing to the world.  It should prompt us to work towards a reality in which people like Clinton and her competing evils need be objects only of the revulsion and justice they have earned.  
 
In the above poll, the isolated, insular, propagandized US public, alone in the world, viewed Iran, with its minuscule military and defense budget, and completely surrounded by US foreign attack bases, as the greatest threat to world peace.  It's time we bring ourselves up to speed.

Early this year, in Denver (Colorado) ex-Israeli soldier Eran Efrati, explained how Israel Occupation Force (IOF) have militarized foreign law enforcement agencies in countries like the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Brazil, Turkey, Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, India, etc. “Israeli soldiers are intensely trained for a war, whilst their actual military duties are to subdue and control Palestinians,” he said. Currently, every Jewish-controlled media is talking about the Senate Intelligence Committee report on CIA torture practices that includes “interrogators threatened to rape a detainee’s mother, forced others to stand on broken feet, and inserted hummus into one’s rectum“, something routinely applied on Palestinian youth by Israeli interrogators. According to Karen Greenburg, a leading American national security expert, “After 9/11 we reached out to the Israelis on many fronts and one of those fronts was torture. 

The training in Iraq and Afghanistan on torture was Israeli training. There’s been a huge downside to taking our cue from the Israelis and now we’re going to spread that into the fabric of everyday American life? It’s counter-terrorism creep. In December 2011, American Jewish investigative reporter Max Blumenthal reported the total Israelification of US law enforcement agencies.

In the six month period from March 1, 2014 to August 31, 2014, eighty of London’s Metropolitan staff members took practical training course while watching Israeli military murdering over 2,300 civilians in Gaza including 550 children.

The British government routinely hires Israeli lobbyists to demonize British Muslims. The British government asked professor Alan Johnson, an Israeli lobbyist to write a report that examines journeys taken by young British Muslims ‘in and out of extremism’. He was also hired to develop strategies to counter so-called “radicalization” (being pro-Palestinian) among Muslim youth.

Professor Alexis Jay, another Zionist hag was the author of recent report on Pakistani/Bangladeshi Muslims involved in rapping over 1,400 British women (girlfriends and street women). In her report, Jay forgot to mention UK’s most Jewish Catholic paedophile James Savile. He was investigated for rapping nearly 400 men and boys in his BBC office.

On December 9, 2003, the UK’s Guardian reported that Israeli military officials are training US assassination squad in Iraq. “It is bonkers, insane. Here we are – we’re already being compared to Sharon in the Arab world, and we’ve just confirmed it by bringing in the Israelis and setting up assassination teams,” said a military officer at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

Protesters in Missouri yelled at police, “You gonna shoot us? Is this the Gaza Strip?” They were right to be concerned. Thousands of US law enforcement officers have trained in Israel or attended Israeli government-sponsored conferences to learn how Israel’s police and security forces prevent “terror attacks.” (Two law enforcement agencies deployed in Ferguson took courses in Israel, according to the Anti-Defamation League.) Israel can teach many lessons on how to dehumanize neighbors and crush dissent.
