Jobs Plan Ruse? Teamsters’ Hoffa Predicts Jobs Plan Failure, Vows to Target Tea Party

September 12th 2011
Speaking in Seattle last Friday, Teamsters’ International President made no bones that he was not going to back away from his calling Tea Partiers “sons of bitches” on Labor Day.

“Since I’ve made that comment, my phone has been ringing off the hook. Everybody is saying keep it on, we need more of that. Even the airline pilot the other day when I flew out said ‘Keep it up, you’re doing a great job.’ We need more of that. We need people talking about the issues.”
Moreover, in a statement that makes one wonder if the President’s stimulus package (the so-called American Jobs Act) was not just a political ploy, Hoffa predicted it’s failure even before Congress received a bill, stating Friday that the Tea Party would doom Obama’s Stimulus package:
“I’m going to make a prediction. The program that he announced yesterday with regard to putting people back to work, a program to address our heavy unemployment in our country, they’re going to destroy that,” he said.
Then, Hoffa stated that the Tea Party is in his union’s sights:
Referencing actions taken in Wisconsin, Hoffa said the Teamsters will do whatever they can to try to stop the Tea Party.
“We’re going to target them because guess what? They’re targeting us.”
Taken in context, it appears the entire stimulus speech before Congress last Thursday may have been nothing more than a well-coordinated ruse between the White House and union bosses to pick a fight with the Tea Party and the GOP before 2012.
