The NLG, my friends is hard core Marxist, and a veteran of old timers agitating street violence, police brutality, and generally coalition-building with Radical Left groups. You remember William Kunstler, don't you? Well, include Michigan Democrat congressman in that bunch.
Here's a link to my ailing web site from ancient times, but the contents and info on the NLG and its allies is still 'spot-on'. My thinking here is these street dregs were recruited to derail and discredit any informed non-violent displays against the banking cartel when Wall Street swings from a lamppost. Succeeding as such a deterence will of course permit federal intrusion as grouping demonstrators as "terrorists" - of which there very well may be some uninvited Marxist illiterates sprinkled in with the good guys.

As it started to rain last night, peaceful protesters at Liberty Park put up some tarps to protect video equipment. The NYPD used this an excuse to violently attack the protest camp and make several arrests. As the crowd chanted “the whole world is watching,” the police came in and brutally threw several protesters to the ground. One of them had a tooth knocked out. Thus far several other injuries have been reported.
