After we beat them back they corrupted the Government with bribes and the state of Nj ordered an election and one person of 150 went to vote .(She was a previous shop steward 20 years prior.)They refused us the right to verify that those asking for the election actually worked there.When they lost their embarassing vote they asked for a private meeting in the back office.There they proposed that we could cut the piece work rates if we wanted to,all they wanted was the dues.!..Hows that for selling out your membership.
They said just the boss sign on and the state would require all join withen 30 days or be fired (state law)…! WE said NO get the hell outta here and threw them out.They swore another union would be after us soon, as the law permitted each union to have a go at us.
They did and the next union was the communist led electrical workers union.After 3 more months of fighting I decided to fight fire with fire and told my loyal Cuban employees 35 of which I gave their first jobs in America after Castro forced them to leave with nothing that this union was Communist led…well the leading Cuban spokeswoman for the Cubans looked at me and winked her eye and said I fix them….
Next day they were GONE all of the demonstrators handing out pamphlets ,all the rabble trouble makers and “Community Organizers”. Perhaps Miami can send Marko Rubio to give Obama his opinion on what to do.
He would be a good VP choice to counter act the Obama “Community Organizer”mentality..
