The body of a 6-year-old Iranian boy is acting like a magnet, attracting various metal objects such as spoons as well as some other objects such as CD-ROMs or remote controls! The magnetic effect is said to be more prominent in the boy's chest and abdomen.

Matin Darwish lives in Tabriz, northwestern Iran (East Azarbaijan province). According to his father, Matin's health has been verified by physicians who have examined him and run tests on him.

Dr. Shahram Dabiri, a nuclear medicine specialist and university professor, talked to IRNA about this strange and rare phenomenon. According to Dabiri, the probability that the spinning of protons inside the body cells causes attraction is there. However, he called this phenomenon abnormal in general, and he said at least this had never been observed in East Azarbaijan.
Dabiri also said this is a metaphysical phenomenon and added that it has likely been created by movement of elements in the body.

MAGNETIC BOY: MYSTERY OR SIMPLE PHYSICS? - The key to understanding this phenomenon lies not in magnetism nor in any sort of mystical ability but instead in the physics of friction. Skin is very elastic (that’s why they call it “plastic surgery”) and tends to conform to objects it comes in contact with. This is especially noticeable on hot days when bare skin attaches itself to leather or plastic seats. Skin can also be somewhat adhesive for the same reason. -MSNBC
