When living in upstate NY I had the memorable experience on several occasions to attend Cong. McDonald's speeches - - including these same words you'll watch below. I simply could not believe that a man of such incorruptible character would be in congress! To be sure McDonald epitomized the Jeffersonian Democrat, but he and Ron Paul were ideological allies of the same libertarian cloth.
McDonald died in the KAL007 Shootdown in 1983. McDonald was what Democrats used to be. (I was even invited to go fishing on Lake George with him and others!). What a statesman and patriot! Another Ron Paul. Both with ethics, yes, but fortified with morality.
