Leland Yee - Gun Runner, Terrorist Enabler, Progressive Communist

Submitted by Terresa Monroe-Hamilton on March 28, 2014

For years now, Trevor Loudon has warned about Progressives, their corruption and their oft connection to the Communist underworld… especially in Asian circles of influence. A member of the California Asian Pacific Island Legislative Caucus, Yee has some splainin' to do… Leland Yee is an excellent example of this ilk of Progressive politician. Yee just got caught stepping in criminal crap big time. This one is sheer poetry.

But he wasn't the only one this week and he is the third in California alone. It would seem the FBI has developed a hankering for corrupt Democrats suddenly. From bribery in Pennsylvania, where charges were dropped because the judge deemed them 'racist,' to the Mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina resigning over bribes taken for business favors, it just keeps getting better and better.

Enter Leland Yee, originally — wait for it — from Hawaii. Not only is Lee connected to the Communist underworld and political power brokers in California, he's been a bad, bad boy and has been gun running in connection to radical Islamic terrorists. A staunch gun control advocate, one has to savor the irony that he was suppressing gun rights, so he could sell arms on the black market to his constituents. A hypocrite extraordinaire, Yee called for Progressive-style transparency and guns for those who could afford them.

You've got to give it to Lee, he sported a big set as he flipped the bird to authorities and was running for Secretary of State. That would have been hard to do with cuffs on and behind bars, just sayin'. He's now withdrawn from the race with more pressing matters to attend to. A 137-page, FBI-sworn affidavit against California State Sen. Leland Yee, as well as over two dozen other individuals, has been filed. This is some good stuff… entertainment and enlightenment for the whole country.

Charges include not only gun running, but wire fraud, money laundering, corruption and bribery. And it gets better. The affidavit contains alleged murder-for-hire plots involving a political consultant close to Yee, as well as large international weapons trafficking operations. These operations included automatic weapons, shoulder-fired missiles, rocket launchers and heavy artillery. Anyone for adding treason to the charges? These weapons were allegedly being brought in from Russia and Islamic rebels in the Philippines.

California, we have a problem:

Out in California, State Senator Leland Yee, a longtime California politician who was praised for his efforts to make government more transparent and authored gun control legislation, was arrested Wednesday, accused of conspiracy to deal firearms and wire fraud.

According to the NY Daily News, Yee discussed helping the undercover FBI agent get weapons worth $500,000 to $2.5 million, including shoulder-fired automatic weapons and missiles, and showed the agent the entire process of how to get those weapons from a Muslim separatist group in the Philippines into the United States, according to an affidavit from FBI Special Agent Emmanuel V. Pascua.

Yee performed "official acts" in exchange for donations from undercover FBI agents, as he sought to dig himself out of a $70,000 debt incurred during a failed San Francisco mayoral bid, according to court documents. Yee is also accused of accepting $10,000 in January 2013 from an undercover agent in exchange for his making a call to the California Department of Public Health in support of a contract under consideration with the agency.

Another individual named in the affidavit is Raymond Chow, aka "Shrimp Boy," the former leader of a Chinese criminal organization with ties to Hong Kong. Chow is accused of money laundering, conspiracy to receive and transport stolen property and conspiracy to traffic contraband cigarettes.

Yee is the third Democrat senator from California to face charges this year along with Sen. Rod Wright, convicted of perjury and voter fraud, and Sen. Ron Calderon, indicted on federal corruption charges. Wright and Calderon are both taking a voluntary leave of absence, WITH pay of course– so typical.

From the Conservative Intelligence Briefing comes a must-read copy of the epic complaint:

Jihad Watch points us to, "The Indictment Against Leland Yee Puts 'The Wire's' Clay Davis to Shame," by Scott Lucas for San Francisco Magazine, March 26:

If you thought the charges against Leland Yee would be bad, you had no idea. As in, he offered to set up an arms deal with Islamic rebels for $2 million in cash. As in, he makes corrupt politician Clay Davis from The Wire look like George Washington. You can read the whole affidavit here, but it's really, really long, so we've gone ahead and pulled out the highlights. The allegations (and for now they are only that—allegations) are cinematic, staggering, and remarkable in their scope. Here they are, in descending order of sheeeeeeeeeeeit:

Yee told an FBI agent to give him a shopping list of guns: "Senator Yee asked [the agent] to provide an inventory list of desired weapons [...] [The agent] told Yee he would deliver $2,000,000 cash."

Yee could arrange from some serious firepower: "[The agent] asked about shoulder fired automatic weapons. Senator Yee responded by saying the automatic weapons are the equivalent to the "M16 Automatic Service Weapon [...] [The agent] asked about the availability of shoulder fire missiles or rockets. Senator Yee responded 'I told him about the rockets and things like that.'"

Yee took personal responsibility for delivering the weapons: "Senator Yee said, 'We're interested' in arranging the weapons deal [...] and said of the arms dealer, 'He's going to rely on me, because ultimately it's going to be me. [The agent] stated he would compensate Yee for brokering the relationship and arms deal."

Yee was in it for the cash: "Senator Yee said, 'Do I think we can make some money? I think we can make some money. Do I think we can get the good? I think we can get the goods.'"

Yee masterminded a complex scheme to import illegal weapons: "Keith Jackson [a political consultant who worked as Yee's fundraiser] told [an agent] that Senator Yee had a contact who deals in arms trafficking. This purported arms dealer was later identified. Jackson requested [a campaign donation] on behalf of Senator Yee, for Senator Yee to facilitate a meeting with arms dealer with the intent of [the agent] to purportedly purchase a large number of weapons to be imported through the Port of Newark, New Jersey. During a meeting [...] Senator Yee discussed certain details of the specific types of weapons [the agent] was interested in buying and importing."

Yee had connection with Filipino rebel groups: "Keith Jackson advised that Senator Yee had an unidentified Filipino associate who was supplying 'heavy' weapons to rebel groups in the Philippines."

Including Muslim terrorists: "According to Senator Yee, Mindanao was largely population by Muslim rebel groups who were fighting the federal government. Yee continued by saying the Muslim rebels had no problem 'kidnapping individuals, killing individuals, and extorting them for ransom."

In specific the Moro Islamic Liberation Front: "[The agent] asked about the major Muslim organizations in the Mindanao region of the Philippines. Senator Yee responded by saying 'M.I.L.F.'"

Yee allegedly wasn't making up the identity of his arms dealer: "This purported arms dealer was later identified."

And, Russian arms dealers: "According to Senator Yee, the arms dealer source the weapons from Russia."

Yee knew he was on the wrong side of the law: "Despite complaining about [the agent's] tendency to speak frankly and tie payment to performance [...] Senator Yee and Keith Jackson [...] never walked away from quid pro quo requests."…

Yee yearned for a different life: "Senator Yee stated he was unhappy with his life and said, 'There is a part of me that wants to be like you [...] Just be a free agent out there." Senator Yee told [the agent] that he wanted to hide out in the Philippines."

It would seem that Lee had no regard for Progressive campaign donation laws and cultivated special relationships with his donors. A typical Progressive, who saw himself as 'above' the law and apart from common Americans.

Nancy Pelosi wholeheartedly supported and promoted this political slimeball. Criminal Marxists of a feather. Drain the swamp? Pelosi and her comrades are building a red swamp to drown America in. What did you expect? She comes from a corrupt, powerful family. She is building a nationwide mob, or at least believes she is and sees herself as the Godmother. Such a deal she gave America.

More on Pelosi's protege from Weasel Zippers:

Ed Driscoll got it right when he said, "Think of the Democratic Party as what it really is: a criminal organization masquerading as a political party." Indeed they are Ed and boy, have Americans made a corrupt bed to lay in. We voted these criminals in, now it's time to get them out.

America better vote as never before in 2014 and 2016. We simply must clean House and Senate of the enemies within.

It's not just Leland Yee that is of national security interest here. There are many others in government who have underworld connections to Communist China and other enemies that are beyond troubling. Take for instance Judy Chu. Someone might want to take a long, hard look at this 'daughter of China.' While you are at it, you might want to look at Chinese political connections in New York, DC, Boston, etc. You might want to take a passing glance at those in NASA and other government agencies and then ask yourself why our government is so lax with the Chinese and why no one is looking into backgrounds and connections.

Of course, Obama knows about and is connected to these individuals. He is the ring leader. So, if you think these individuals are dirty, corrupt, evil asshats… multiple it by a thousand fold and you have Barack Obama and his handlers.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Beneath the strings of red paper lanterns and narrow alleyways of the nation's oldest Chinatown lies a sinister underworld, according to an FBI criminal complaint that has stunned even those familiar with the neighborhood's history of gambling houses, opium dens and occasional gangland-style murders.

The federal charges, which allege a California lawmaker accepted money and campaign donations in exchange for providing official favors and helping broker an arms deal, cast harsh light on Chinatown's tight-knit network of fraternal organizations and one of its most shadowy characters, Raymond "Shrimp Boy" Chow.

Investigators say Chow is the leader — the dragonhead — of one of the most powerful Asian gangs in North America. Chow's gang is said to have lured state Sen. Leland Yee into its clutches through money and campaign contributions in exchange for legislative help, as Yee sought to build his campaign coffers to run for California secretary of state.

Yee is free on $500,000 bail. Chow and Yee's campaign consultant, Keith Jackson, have been denied bail. Of course, Progressives are screaming that Yee is innocent. They call on the Constitution when it suits them apparently. Except in this case, Yee is clearly guilty. This doesn't stop the Left from decrying that they are suddenly being targeted. Well, maybe the FBI is finally doing their job. Nice to see a little housework done and the trash taken out. California's Democratic political structure is rotten to its very core. U.S. Sens. Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein are already trying to distance themselves from the stain of this. It is the height of irony that a man, who has been best known publicly for his efforts to promote government transparency and public records, was honored just last week by the Society of Professional Journalists. Figures.

Leland Yee – gun runner, terrorist enabler, Progressive Communist… He is the poster boy for the criminally corrupt Democratic Party.
