NEW YORKERS BE ON ALERT: DRILL SCHEDULED FOR NEW YORK SUBWAYS

May 2, 2013 By Joseph P. Farrell

If you’re like me, any time the powers that be announce that they’re going to hold a drill, watch out, for that’s how the bulk of covert operations, including terrorism, have been conducted in the past…oh, say thirty to forty years.

The technique is simple: simply penetrate the drill with your own operatives, piggyback a real operation on a “drill,” and as the drill is conducted, let the real operation “go live,” and in the confusion, accomplish your objectives. 9-11 was, of course, the pre-eminent example of this tactic, and thus, the context argues for “inside job,” for that is what a live piggybacked operation-on-a-drill always is. We saw evidence of a “drill” in Boston that went live; there are even lingering indications, for those that studied the matter, that a similar operation was in effect in the Oklahoma City bombing.

On and on we could go.

So in that spirit, an alert to all our friends in the New York City metro area, especially those of you riding the subways and trains:

NYPD will deploy ‘harmless’ gas into subway in terror response drill

Hope you caught that but in case you didn’t, here is is again:

“The New York City Police Department announced Wednesday that it will deploy, then track, what it calls “harmless” gases into the city’s subway system over three non-consecutive days this summer.

“The plan, to be enacted in July, will investigate New York’s readiness to handle a chemical terrorist attack by dispersing the colorless gas and tracing it as it flows through the city, according to Scientific American. The test is expected to cost $3.4 million and is scheduled to be carried out in all five boroughs and dozens of stations on 21 of the city’s 34 subway lines.

“’The NYPD works for the best but plans for the worst when it comes to potentially catastrophic attacks such as ones employing radiological contaminants or weaponized anthrax,’ police commissioner Ray Kelly said in a statement.

“The police will use roughly 200 detectors to monitor the gas. Dubbed the Subway-Surface Air Flow Exchange, the test will be the largest of its kind and organized in cooperation with the energy department’s Brookhaven National Laboratory. They’ll use perfluorocarbon tracer gases (PFTs), which are frequently used to measure potential sites for underground construction.”

Many years ago you will recall a similar incident – a real one – that occurred in the Tokyo subways when the Aum Shinrikyo cult released deadly Sarin gas into the trains, killing many innocent people, and with the now well-known tactic of piggybacking real operations on drills, it’s best to be safe, not sorry.

There’s another question here, that isn’t being asked, but it should be: Do you, the average American living in a city scheduled for one of these “drills”, feel safer? do you feel like your government is doing an adequate job “protecting” you? Or do you, like me, feel that the whole “war on terror” is a colossal failure precisely because it has led to the erosion of our constitutional liberties? that the cameras, dogs, drills, snipers, and de facto martial law we saw on chilling parade in Boston, was completely ineffectual from preventing the tragedy? If the latter, then you’re waking up, for terrorism is always, and ultimately, the policy of some elite, masked behind a government, trying to increase its power over the people it governs, through massive expansion of the state. An interesting poll, one you’ll never see CNoNews, SeeBS, or Faux News doing, and if they do, there won’t be the slightest pretense at real understanding of the phenomenon, much less sympathy, is this: do you, the average American, feel more threatened by terrorists? or by your own government?

Let’s go door to door in Boston, blot out the faces and modulate the voices, and ask that question…

A final thought: interesting, isn’t it, that it is RT that is reporting this story….
See you on the flip side.
